To want to buy a wooden trike for our 1yr old despite having wooden floors and neighbours underneath?

My lo is turning 1 and loves pottering up and down our flat. I'm dying to buy her a wodden lamb shaped trike, but I'm worried about the noise it'll make against the wooden floors as we have neighbours downstairs.

Am I being insensitive or should I take some comfort from the fact that our childless neighbours have kept us up until the wee hours of the morning for weekends on end with their dusk to dawn parties (some have ended at 8pm).

We've been at some of them too. They're all great friends...

I think the lamb trike idea is dying a slow death. Thanks ladies for all your advice and honest opinions.

Ok, so I didn't buy it. But we got a calf-shaped wooden trike from my husband's brothers for her first birthday present anyway. We set it up and the tyres are rubber. The thing is so silent - it makes less noise than the sound of my slippers flopping over the wooden floors. It is staying and I would highly recommend it to anyone else who lives in a flat with people underneath www.amazon.co.uk/Im-Toy-80004-Paddie-Calffy/dp/B000X4N9VU/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=toys&qid=1268 650338&sr=8-12
