kick me, I'm down [masochistic emoticon]

just vehicle abuse and 4x4ocide, some people might approve of that

hope everyone else who was similarly this morning is feeling a bit better now, sunshine helps. Friends who see you pass by in aircraft hangar on wheels also help, when they text 'flash car!' and 'at least there is plenty of room to shag in that?'

less helpful was filling up the LPG tank to save on petrol, only for all the LPG to dribble out again as joint on fuel line is loose

but made mental list of things to be positive about, such as SPRING coming and it being half term and how nice most people are really

mitchy, where are you - dh is a mechanic with a penchant for lovely ladies and their baling twine landies, have at least one in the yard growing some very nice moss. we are in norfolk, seriously he could fix that fuel line for you

MitchyInge · 17/02/2010 16:20

oh really? am in Suffolk, oh that would be fab if we are close enough (owe the land rover garage a few hundred £££ from last disaster )

Mitchy

I am happier for going out in the sunshine too. I think everyone who has horses is miserable at this time of year (unless they are lucky enough to have their horses on full livery and go hunting twice a week)

6 weeks til April, when everything is nicer

If you want to chat on FB, you know where i am

sb6699 · 17/02/2010 16:36

Funnily enough, I feel better today now that the sunshine is out.

Seriously had enough of my tractor path driveway resembling a swamp and cleaning puddles of mud from the porch every time someone goes out.

And btw Mitchy, you are lovely. You offered me a go in your Landy many moons ago as I have yearning for a 4x4 but cant afford one.

Saying that, now the better weather is appearing I will shortly have a penchant for a sporty convertible - how do you think it will cope in the muck and pot-holes

MitchyInge · 17/02/2010 16:36

is it really only 6 weeks? livery will be HALVED, phew, as soon as the brown one can live out (which is usually April)

feel quite hopeful again knowing that

will come and find you on there later, only four more dogs to walk

MitchyInge · 17/02/2010 16:38

sb6699 - I have a sporty convertible for sale!

nearly 4 yrs old, only leaks in very heavy rain, seats 2 people and you can just about squeeze a set of tack behind the front seats (or some children or people with very short legs)

smell of wet dog is bound to fade over time

interested? would be great help to sell it!

Ah good that you are feeling more positive. YABU to think you are a disaster. Well, most of the time anyway.

Alicetheinvisible · 17/02/2010 16:42

Mitchy i have had a great business idea!

Basically you lease out your damp, dog smelling vehicals, with the barbour and wellies of course, to those townies who think they would like to experience country life

MitchyInge · 17/02/2010 16:42

PS £900+ of repairs says it does not cope well on farm tracks tho

OP posts:
baskingseals · 17/02/2010 16:44

i'm in north norfolk, right on the coast - if it isn't too far from you, i could give you my email - more than welcome to come a do a bit of landrover admiration/fixing

MitchyInge · 17/02/2010 16:46

Owls

Alice that is a FAB idea

or I could just do a straight swap for their urban range rover sports, soon give it that authentic rural feel as it slowly fills up with insane spaniels and mud and hay

OP posts:
MitchyInge · 17/02/2010 16:47

ah, from baskingseals I wondered if you were on n. norfolk coast, my old stomping ground

might have to remortgage to get there in this v8 4.something litre beast

although would be nice to go back to my homeland

CMOTdibbler · 17/02/2010 16:50

Glad you are feeling cheerier.

It snowed on me. Fortunatly the diet and exercise regime has got me into the half chaps that DH bought me for christmas, so only a quarter of me got soaked and cold. Horse highly unimpressed, in spite of the fact that his hair is so thick that no rain actually got to his skin.

baskingseals · 17/02/2010 16:54

are you a bit of a norfolk girl? well it's just the same - flat muddy cold - with the odd stunning sunset thrown in, if you can make it up here, without having to sell a kidney - let me know, honestly dh is carman.
loves an engine.

sb6699 · 17/02/2010 16:54

Sounds like that car is probably the way mine would end up - not sure where I would put 3 dc's and huge smelly lab though.

Suppose the old trusty volvo will be around for some time.

We are moving back to town in April and FIL has promised me a 30 yo MG that he took on as a project as apparently I am the only person he knows mad enough to love it

PandaG · 17/02/2010 16:55

hmm N Norfolk? My old stamping ground too. Parents still there. Hope you are feeling better now MI

baskingseals · 17/02/2010 17:33

do we know all know each other?
i'm 41 - norfolk born and bred, right proper dumpling.

PandaG · 17/02/2010 18:13

I'm 38, also Norfolk born and bred, slim chance I suppose!

MitchyInge · 17/02/2010 19:44

Am 39, we are probably schoolmates or even siblings?

OP posts:
PandaG · 17/02/2010 21:26

I'm a Shannock, if that means anything to you?

most people are around here

MitchyInge · 18/02/2010 10:05

let's count our toes to see if we are true Norfolkians

am still v tempted by your fuel line offer, do you have CAT?

OP posts:
MitchyInge · 18/02/2010 13:05

I am cursed

range rover has been clamped, tax does not run out in two weeks as I thought but expired at the end of Feb 2009
