I have just properly bawled at UP am I being unreasonable?

Where is Russell's dad? And when the old lady dies. Even dd said 'oh look mummy is crying again'.

I kept crying when I watched it. Nearly to the level of heaving sobs (and this was in the cinema).

Oh, I bawled too- in the cinema . I thought one of the good things about UP was that the things I found so sad went over my dds' heads (aged 4 and 5). Not like bloody Bambi, which I had to be removed from 3 times at the age of 5 (I really really wanted to see it, but couldn't get past the bit where his mother died- I still haven't ever seen the end!)

i also bawled in the cinema, twas ds's (4)first trip to the cinema too.
"has it finished mummy?"
"yes ",
"can we go now mummy?"
"in a minute "
"why are you crying mummy, are you sad?"

we are not going back to the cinema til toy story 3d comes out cos i know i won't blub at that!

I watched it on the outward bound flight of my honeymoon which, sadly, was only 10 days after we lost our baby at 14 wks. I remember the poor air hostesses, who knew we were newlyweds, looking horrified as I loudly sobbed my way through the first 20 minutes. That little old lady broke my heart.

I cried while watching it, and I cried about it again days later! It is upsetting.

But I love the dog. We are always saying to our dogs, "I am hiding under your porch because I lurrve you. I am a talking dog."

Yup blubbed all the way through!At the cinema too! In my defence I was newly pg, but still! Had my mum and dc with me, the first time we looked at one another and kind of laughed in a what-am-I-like kind of way, but the sadness kept on coming!

I blubbed the whole way through, thank god I had the 3D glasses at the cinema to hide behind. However, when I looked around there was loads of people sneakily wiping their eyes!

It's such a great film though, I really want a talking dog!

Oh no, I went with my sister (she's a grown woman as am I), neither of us have kids (although mine is baking) and we bawled from start to finish. I was the same with Finding Nemo, someone just has to quote the 'just let go, Dad!' bit I start getting teary eyed.

And as for Babe, oh don't even go there....

OMG, Charliemouse500 could I have seen it in 3D?

I watched this on a plane and was repeatedly asked by cabin crew if I was ok, such was the extent of my blubbering

Yes! It was very good in 3D, I was pleasantly surprised as I remembered 3D from the 80's where it was a bit IN YOUR FACE - but it was like it was all just more real (and therefore more tearful!!)

Ah, I can't watch Babe either. I had to pull myself together last week as was watching Nemo with my 2yr old niece....must. not. cry!

Don't even get me started on Watership Down

yup, cried a bit too.
Afterwards was talking about with ds1 (7y) and saying about it being sad.
ds1: why?
me: well, when the old lady died
ds1: what do you mean, she didn't die
me: she did
ds1: nah
me: well, what do you think happened to her after she was in hospital and then never seen again
ds1 - looks blank!
