to think finding two dead blackbirds might be a bad omen?

I think I probably am being silly and superstitious but when I went out to my car this morning there were two dead blackbirds (one male one female) on the drive - not obviously mauled by a cat. Please tell me IABU and that it isn't a portent of bad luck or whatever

I once killed two bluetits by running them down. Sorry RSPB. But they were fighting each other at car bumper level. Blackbirds are buggers for flying out at ground level. perhaps a car hit them fighting and they dropped off the bumper onto your driveway?

A flying rat pigeon flew into my windscreen last week and cracked the whole thing. Cost me a fortune. That was very bad luck.

Beammeupscotty - it was a male and female blackbird, so they might have been doing something other than fighting.

At least they would have died happy.
