He made me homemade croissants for breakfast this morning, with chocolate truffles and a cup of coffee as well. I am feeling quite smug - surely I have the best husband in the whole world?

YABU my fella is the best

Last night he whisked me off via private jet (hes a pilot) to a secluded cottage in the french countryside, i walked into champagne on ice, huge box of expensive chocs, rose petals scattered everywhere and a log fire blazing

there were presents stacked up in the corner beautifully wrapped that i wasnt allowed to open until this morning, we had amazing sex last night on the sheep skin rug infront of the roaring fire

this morning i was served the most amazing smoked salmon and scrambled eggs (he is a tops chef) with more champagne, then we went for a romantic walk along the beach hand in hand

i came home and opened my presents, amazing! everything a girl could wish for but too many to list here and dont want to make you all

he loves me so much, adores me! i think he is going to propose tonight, i bet the ring cost hundreds of thousands, he is so handsome and intelligent (hes also a brain surgeon)

YABU OP.

My DH is definitely better than your DH! Every day, not only today. So there!

doesntplaywellwithothers · 14/02/2010 14:27

Every morning of our lives, my DH gets up with our children, feeds them breakfast, gets them dressed, makes the coffee, while I lie in get ready. By the time I come downstairs, the dishes are done, kids are ready. Then, he goes to work, after dropping them off at the childminder's. He is helpful around the house, a hands on dad, and a thoughtful and sweet husband.

Every day is Valentine's Day for me, ladies, sorry!

YABU

Mine loves me.

I really know he does.

What else do I need?

Am hoping dh will prove himself the perfect man as he is currently out bonding with ds1 over the purchase of ds1's first suit. If dh comes back with a decent outfit for the firstborn that hasn't cost a packet and will make him look cool and agree to wear it without moaning, dh will get some serious Valentine points.

mummygirl · 14/02/2010 14:35

doesntplay maybe our DHs are twins seperated at birth! My friends never believe me that he's a;ways the one to get the kids ready and at school before work while I lie in, take a shower and if I ever say "you shouldn't have"he's all like öh but you were soooo tired".

NonnoMum · 14/02/2010 14:45

Well, my DH went to the trouble of trying to get my Valentine's bouquet to match my wedding bouquet (five years on...) They were all out of season but the bloomin bouquet matches the original for colours if not variety.

Trying too hard?

Or just loverlee?

Oh - and AIBU to have finished the first layer of the choccies already?

Mine woke up at 7am with the baby and took him downstairs so I could have a lie in until 8:30 or so. It's just what he does, pretty much since I haven't 'had' to be the one up with him for multiple feeds a night.

He just made me a cup of coffee with some Bailey's, and would have gotten me some Ben and Jerry's but I decided against that much fat after our lunch at Wagamama earlier.

Just typing it all out makes me feel happy, actually. My husband is lovely. No flowers, but neither of us are into paying twice the price for them just because of the holiday. Perhaps later in the week.

Hope you're all having a good Valentine's Day!

bellavita · 14/02/2010 15:37

BofF - you derty gerty!

My DH took me out to lunch (yep twas only Pizza Express, but I didn't have to cook) and and.... he is buying me an I-Phone. So nerr!

bellavita · 14/02/2010 15:39

pmsl at Vinny - how many Mills and Boons books have you been reading?

BitOfFun · 14/02/2010 15:51

An iPhone, bella? You too will be able to post while being rogered senseless

bellavita · 14/02/2010 15:54

cakewench · 14/02/2010 15:55

It's nice to see this thread, btw. So often we're only hearing the worst about partners here, it's good to hear the positive stories.

Bonsoir · 14/02/2010 15:56

I got a delivery of fabulous flowers at 10pm, just as I was tossing heart-shaped pancakes for DP and DD

Bonsoir · 14/02/2010 15:57

10am

BitOfFun · 14/02/2010 16:00

One should not be tossing pancakes on Valentine's Day.

VinegarTits · 14/02/2010 16:00

Roger? thats bof's weekend name innit?

Bonsoir · 14/02/2010 16:02

Are you sexist about Valentine's Day, BoF, and think men have to do all the running?

TrillianAstra · 14/02/2010 16:05

If you want to make your DH happy there are other kinds of tossing that would peobably be appreciated more

Bonsoir · 14/02/2010 16:07

If I want to make me happy, I must first feed my DP

doesntplaywellwithothers · 14/02/2010 16:29

mummygirl...I know!! My friends can't believe how much my DH does. It's just lovely...
