If I go to bed in tomorrow's clothes?

Because that's the best option of the three as far as I reckon. The others being:
DOn't go to bed at all
Travel in pyjamas.

I have to get up at 3am and get the night bus to Brixton to get into my friends' car and go to Bristol (3 hour drive during which I can sleep some more...).

Sleep in clothes

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 20:49

how long does it take to jump up, whip off your jammies, and put on your clothes?

just have clothes reading next to the bed

sleep naked, it will be easier

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 20:50

or have i missed the point?

SolidGoldBrass · 12/02/2010 20:50

VT: It is TOO COLD in my house to sleep in the scud. And bashing about getting washed and dressed runs too high a chance of waking DS or his dad.

Vinegar, didnt know clothes could read!

sleep in your jammies and get changed. How uncomfortable to sleep in your clothes, not to mention sweaty and stinky.

TigerDrivesAgain · 12/02/2010 20:51

sleep in clothes if you have to sleep at all. I would. In fact I make DS sleep in his clothes quite a lot. Saves time in the morning.

mazzystartled · 12/02/2010 20:51

I'd go in pjs or pj variants
I'm not proud

LynetteScavo · 12/02/2010 20:51

I'm imagining you getting of the bus in Brixton in the middle of the night iin your PJ's.

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 20:52

oops i meant ready

well nothing wrong in sleeping in your clothes if its easier

LaurieFairyCake · 12/02/2010 20:53

how tired are you?

I would stay up and I'm fairly sure I see you quite late round here?

Watch a film (or two)?

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 20:55

what you wearing to travel? if its a trackie then prob will be comfy enough to sleep in, but wont you be creased?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 12/02/2010 20:56

I would stay up! Just don't drink any wine - recipe for disaster.

Why are you going to Bristol so early?

Oh and good luck on the nightbus to Brixton -eeek!

VinegarTits · 12/02/2010 20:56

shouldnt you be in bed now?

SingleMum01 · 12/02/2010 21:12

I'd go to bed now and get a few hours in

SolidGoldBrass · 12/02/2010 21:13

Travelling in sweatshirt and trackie bottoms. Going so early because we have to be in the venue to set up around 8.30/9am. So I probably ought to have a little kip if I am not going to be Awful Undead all day (I used to be able to manage just fine on no sleep and a couple of beers, but in the last year or so those muscles have atrophied...)
Can't go to bed till DS asleep anyway, if I'm not in bed by midnight it will be plan B...

Solid, I've met a man with a bloody great boa constrictor around his neck in the middle of Brixton High Street, but never a lady in pjs!

I'd be inclined to stick the trackies on, set the alarm, have a bag with fresh wipes etc packed and set off after a few hours sleep!

Travel safely and have a happy and successful time in Bristol.

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 12/02/2010 21:37

I have a horrid horrid story about an encounter at 5am outside The Fridge in Brixton, shall I telll it? You will need a strong stomach.

Kitkatqueen · 12/02/2010 21:43

All ears.....

UndomesticHousewife · 12/02/2010 21:48

Go on....

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 12/02/2010 21:48

It's actually quite sad- as well as being disgusting.

There was a young looking completely filthy man with no legs in a wheelchair, repeatedly ramming into people and wailing 'help me'. We were very drunk and perhaps a little high (ahem) so it took us a while to fully comprehend what was happening.

He was dressed in just a filthy tshirt and his balls were hanging out, and he was smeared in shit, soaked in wee.

Most shocking was we pointed him out to the bouncers and they just shrugged. My friend ended up calling the police herself, and they took him off in an ambulance.

What a come down! I was truly upset that something like that could happen in this country. Why was he not being cared for? He was clearly seriously mentally ill.

SolidGoldBrass · 12/02/2010 22:03

DWP: Well it's possible that he had escaped from his carers and they were frantically looking for him - he would probably have had a wheelchair-accessible home, and people with mental illnesses are often very determined in the pursuit of their ideas.
That's actually more likely than him being longterm homeless and alone as, to be blunt, someone who could not look after himself to that extent would not survive more than a few days living on the street.
