to eat DD's chocolate?

DD is 2, and has got to the stage that she will ask for chocolate buttons/sweets all day (chancing her luck really) and now doesn't always eat her dinner/lunch in case there is something better on offer.

I don't mind her having treats, but not every day. She got given so much chocolate for christmas, that there is still a carrier bag left, and there is no way she will get through it by easter (well, she would, but you know what i mean )

So, AIBU to munch my way through the chocolate collection in the evenings? Am i really?

No, it is totally reasonable and a selfless act of love

FoxForceFive · 10/02/2010 17:43

You could use it to bake treats - cookie with a couple of smarties on top, rice krispy cakes etc. Or whizz it up as a milkshake.

Or you could just eat it all.

Or both.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 10/02/2010 17:46

Personally, I can't wait until Easter as DD is bound to get loads of chocolate (she'll only be 7 months, not that that will stop my mum or the MIL!)

Unanimous then?

YANBU.

I have an 8 year old DS and he doesn't even get through all his chocolate. We still have chocolate from LAST Xmas (yes 2008!) and I opened some of last Easter's chocolate yesterday!

Choc from this Xmas just gone is in a big bowl on the table and he still doesn't think to eat it.

Can't keep crisps and popcorn in the house though!

AppleTreeWick · 11/02/2010 14:39

Am in shock over Buda ... chocolate in a bowl on the table?

Mine raid the cuboards (this involves substantial climbing, traversing of worktops, reaching and tipping out)honestly they're worse than squirrels for getting to the good stuff.

Buda · 11/02/2010 16:43

I know AppleTreeWick. He is very odd!

LaDiDaDi · 11/02/2010 16:45

YANBU, I sacrifice my own waistline to save dd every day!

taffetacat · 11/02/2010 16:54

My old next door neighbour used to throw away tat from party bags and sweets/chocolate before they even made it through her front door. I think she told her von Trapp kids they'd gone missing.

That's evil.
