I am probably going to get flamed and branded a cruel mother but my dd is 2.11 years is into Postman Pat in a big way. She shows no interest in potty training and using the toilet, in the Summer Autumn there were two failed attempts so went back to pull ups, Last week I had enough, out of the toddlers I know, she and another boy are the only ones in nappies. I put her in ITNG,Fifi,Peppa Pig girls kickers last week to try and encourage her, no she just weed and pooed in her pants.

For the past 15 months i have sat her on the potty/toilet regularly, read books to her about little girls and their potties, taken her in with me and explained to her what i am doing, but to no avail. As a last ditch attempt I told her that I would get her postman pat pants if she did all her wees and poos in the potty/toilet. She was so excited and kept mentioning getting postman pat pants. This morning they arrived and she was so excited and happy. I hope that this will encourage her to make the transition from nappy to potty. They are boys pants but I will do anything for her to be interested AIBU!

Thanks everybody, I dont think she is ready yet but i do have her in pants for a few hours so that she gets more of an understanding, she now is starting to feel a bit uncomfy when wet and poo in knickers, nappies keep everything in and neat and not as messy as pants so she is starting to notice a bit. I am hopeing that she will not like to wee/poo on postman pat.

Oh i was a real Tomboy, if i could have had Masteres of the Universe knickers or Thundercats ones I would have . Acutally at first my mum put me in boys pants as i loved the pictures on them and as far as i know i have no ishooos with gender

I wont start properly till May and will just go cold turkey as its freezing now and she is not ready at the moment. The nursery school are fine with her in pull ups and will even support me with the toilt training, i am hoping that once she sees all the 'big boy/girls' doing wee/poo in toilet at nursery she will want to be like them, as she does say that she is a 'big girl' and likes anything to do with going to school, she goes to preschool atm and loves wearing the uniform. This nursery school that she will go to is attatched to the Primary school that she will go to and they do a few activties with the older children.

Noddy pants?!!!!...they would definately work! My eldest DD wanted to be Noddy when she grew up and wore her Noddy hat with a bell 24/7 for about 6 months
