Disney kettle just randomly sprang to life....what could it mean???

Seuss · 07/02/2010 01:37

Obviously it is Unreasonable - scared the shit out of me!

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 01:44

I think it's far more unreasonable of you to own (and admit to owning) a talking Disney kettle.

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 01:44
Grin
Seuss · 07/02/2010 01:47

You may be right - no good can come of disney kettle....it must DIE!!!!

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 01:49

Yup, slowly and painfully. Dissection, start with surgically removing the battery.

My favourite part of the day is 9am, when ds is at school and I am on my way home from dropping him off.

Seuss · 07/02/2010 01:50

I tried to do it...but I think 'Chip' winked at me...

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 01:53

Chip?

You have not thought this toy thing out have you? The tip is to leave all the noisey one's at Granny's house so the little darling has something to play with when they go to visit. Leave anything too messy there aswell. Don't fill your house up with plastic tat, it will only get worse.

Seuss · 07/02/2010 01:55

I have failed! But at least I know what 'it' means now!

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 01:58

Oh dear.

Lego's forgivable, it's easy to clean up if you make them put an old sheet on the floor first, then you get them to gather the edges and tip the bits back in the tub.

Pink disney kitchen, Oh dear oh dear!!

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 01:59

Don't allow them to join the Games Workshop clut, this is plastic tat hell, and it's farking expensive plastic tat.

Seuss · 07/02/2010 02:04

Sheet on the floor??? Do you do parenting classes? Where can I sign up?? Genius!

I am willing to admit Unreasonability on the kitchen...but it was on sale at least.Wonder why?

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 02:08

I spend my life doing as little housework as possible, it's a complete waste of time IMO. They make the mess, they clean it up. Make it fun and they are more then happy to clean it up. My life's too short. ds takes his plate into the kitchen when he goes in to get his desert, saves time.

Seuss · 07/02/2010 02:13

I can't get my DH to take his plate to the kitchen to get desert. This is when things change!

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 02:19

If he's going in there anyway.....

You have to make things easier for yourself, you deserve some 'me' time, in order for this to happen there needs to be a fairer distribution of household boring shite in your house. Only you can do this by using your lovely brain. Men like to think it's all their idea so you have to merely plant the seed in his head and nurture it, not too much though. Children are trainable in a different way, they all like a game so turn the chores into something fun (like a race, the first one to put all their laundry in the basket for a week wins a small treat, nothing too expensive or it will be cheaper to hire a cleaner). The more things they do, the less you do so you have more seuss time for a coffee and slice of chocolate cake.

Seuss · 07/02/2010 02:24

coffee and cake...I CAN DO IT!!! I do end up with all the boring shite, DH is poorly at the moment (didn't stop him necking half the wine though) and so doubly useless. Although it did mean that he sloped off to bed when one of the children woke. Any tips on a cat that whines every time you walk past the cupboard? (She can barely fit throught the cat-flap)

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 02:27

Ignore the cat, she needs a diet by the sound of things. 2 meals a day depending on what you are feeding her.

You can do it, reclaim your time!!

Being ill is no excuse, mum's are expected to just get on with it, ill or not. WHy should this be any different for husbands/partners?

Seuss · 07/02/2010 02:33

Sooo true about mums having to do everything even when they are sick! I don't think I can cross the cat though - she is my only ally. Plus, she is old enough to have earned her fat butt, if I can still squeeze through a door at her (equivalent) age I will be quite happy.

OP posts:
BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 07/02/2010 02:36

I should get off to bed. I still have a child in training (it takes years of nagging but I hope any future wife/girlfriend will be so very grateful).

Just remember that you deserve to have free time aswell. In order to make this happen everyone needs to pull their weight. There's no 'I' in team after all.
