"the baby will come when she's ready"

I am 41+1 today and the next person that says that to me is going to get a punch in the face . It may be true but it is not in the slightest bit chuffing helpful

So sorry, Fibilou...I was 40+6 with dd, and though that's not so bad, the comments were horrendous...

big hugs and lots of luck...

Still not had that baby yet?

Bella32 · 02/02/2010 09:38

Fibilou - fwiw I had planned a low key birth in a standalone unit but ds had other ideas and I ended up with the full monty, so to speak: everything I had categorically decided I did not want. You know what? It was fine And I bf until he was 2.

All the best x

BethNoire · 02/02/2010 09:39

have ytou tried asking anyone who is essential to your birth plans to make arrangements to go somewher else? I find that a guarantee- my Mum helpfully went to Scotland when I was 41+3, Baby shifted same night (luckily managed to find other childcare, was ds3).

Sympathies. It's a horrid wait but despite how it feels it really will happen and you won't be pregnant forever. It will just feel like it.

MarineIguana · 02/02/2010 09:39

I know you don't want any advice, but hey you don't know who I am and can't slap me!

So my advice is - very loud music (live gig if possible). Worked for me.

Trickle · 02/02/2010 09:59

Wish I could get to a live gig - we have been playing Soil, Korn and and Skunk Anansie to baby for a while - do you think I should crank up the volume (like use our PA) or do you think I might just scare the poor little onbe into staying in there
