Just picked dd2 up from sn nursery, drove home (20 min drive) had lunch and then realized she hasn't got a nappy on shock just jogging bottoms (no pants), dd2 is not toilet trained, this means she has been without a nappy since snack time (11am). Amazingly she is dry (but thats not the point).Surely they should have remembered to put a nappy on her?

Should i phone up and ask who changed her? or do i just put it down to a mistake? Its not as though they are rushed off their feet (there are more adults than children) hmm.

If this is a one off, I wouldn't phone up,
I would just mention it the next time you take her to nursery. Ask them if there was a special reason why she didn't have a nappy on.

YAB a bit U

If it's the 1st time it's happened, I wouldn't think twice about it

If she'd had an accident they would have noticed and changed her straight away anyway, wouldn't they?

If it happens again I'd mention it

And I don't think it's that surprising that she is still dry after two hours.

Maybe the nursery think she's ready for the potty?

Marne · 18/01/2010 13:05

Thank you, i think i will mention it next time i take her in (maybe make a bit of a joke about it). I just thought it was a bit off as it is a special needs nursery, many kids in wheel chairs and non verbal so it might net get picked up as easily if a child was wet.

its a mistake.

my dd changed ds other day and forget. she was too busy singing rhymes with him

belgo- dd2 has Autism and is almost non-verbal, we have been trying to potty train her for over a year but she pee's every 10 minutes at home (constantly wet) which is why i was suprissed that she was dry. The nursery sit her on the potty at snack time (she never does a wee) so maybe they just pulled her trousers up and forgot the nappy?

its a mistake, you WBU to actually moan at them, but I would tell them it had happened. Do you supply the nappies? Maybe just say you mentioned it as you were worried you needed to send more or something.

belgo · 18/01/2010 13:10

In that case it does sound like an honest mistake at the nursery. If you are generally happy with them, then I wouldn't say too much about this if it is a one off incident.

Marne · 18/01/2010 13:13

Yes, i'm not angry with them, just thought it was a bit odd that they didn't notice that she had no nappy or pants on. Its the kind of mistake i could easily make.

Dh (at that time dfiance) was helping me babysit twins, and was getting one of them ready for bed - removed the dirty nappy, cleaned him up etc, and then asked me, in all seriousness, 'Does he need a nappy at night time, love?'
