Was on another forum recently and someone asked the following question.

My LO is following just above the 75th centile for his weight & just below for his length is this about average?.

What do you think?

I would love to throw them in the bin Vaihala, but we travel alot and we keep all of DS2 medical cards and also as his vaccine history is in their, we keep them for medical reasons.

All his hospital visits have been noted in their also, so "good" to keep as evidence of hospital stays, if ever needed.

Ds1 is in the bin lol

LittleMiss My DD is 4.5 and is a mere 2 stone. Her 21 month old brother is the same weight Bless her, she's just a wee shrimp. Doesn't bother me though, she's perfectly healthy.

I am at your nerve Val. I have not dared. Although I do make a point of not filling it in. And I ignore the cat's bum mouth from HV when she asks if I've updated it. And I ignore everything she says.

I am still a bit cross about the time she explained very. slowly. in. words. of. less. than. two. syllables. why it is important to read to your child. And to concentrate on the pictures and that litracy is good.

Although apparently I can't spell literacy

As you were...

LOL JAMM

at 'is this about average?' Err, the numbers are there precisely to tell you how it relates to average.

JustAnotherManicMummy, I dispensed with HVs for the same reason! I have had just one HV appointment in my entire life, having had 2 DC.

I got the same sort of patronising lecture (and I too have a degree), and it was all I could do to prevent myself from telling the damn woman to shove her red book where the sun doesn't shine!

It's not about nerve, more about nerves and tits.... and the HV was getting on mine!

I really didn't mean for this to turn into a red book rant but glad some took it in the spirit it was meant.

Also glad that there are some daft people on this forum too
