In not going to work

I'm meant to be on the train from Scotland to north England. Six of the nine trains on different rail companies to the destination are cancelled. The rest are part route and two hours late. The return journey has more cancellations. I don't drive and have limited mobility. Today, I was to attend two meetings - one for ten minutes to discuss my new contract and the other meeting for an hour to meet some new colleagues. AIBU to reschedule for next week when the snow may have thawed?

Of course YANBU. Loads of people are postponing meetings in this weather.

Thanks so much, fimble, I'm so feeble making decisions like this!

YANBU and if they are stroppy simply ask what their policy is on getting you home from work if the weather gets worse.

Take it easy and relax, I'm stranded at home and have been since last weekend - can't do anything about it and my boss was lovely said 'work from home and don't you dare put yourself at risk to get into the office'

What a lovely boss you have, Madascheese - mine really are fantastic too.
