to want a response from this e bay seller?

I have just won some items for my DS's party, 3 lots from the same seller. I asked before and she said she would combine postage. I have received an invoice and instead of deducting postage, she has added on an extra charge. I think she had added on the amount she meant to deduct. However I messaged to ask why there were extra charges, got no response. I then messaged her to say I though she had added instead of taking away, no response, then I sent a message asking for a final invoice again as I want to pay the outstanding amount and have the good delivered. I really hate outstanding payments and I always pay my e bay items straight away. This has bee going on for about 6 days and I have never paid this late before.

I'm not really sure what to do. I do want the items and part of me thinks I should pay and then ask if she is willing to refund the extra she charged. Obviously if I had already paid she is under no obligation to do this. I don't want to go down on e bay as a non payer. Any advice?

Has she replied to you at all, can you contact ebay see if they can sort out the discrapency (i'm sure that is not how that is spelt)

I am also going through a current e-bay head ache so you have my sympathies

Coldhands · 06/01/2010 19:23

Thanks for your sympathies .

She sent me the original invoice (with the extra added on) but no response since then. She replied before I won the stuff to tell me that she does give discount.

i really wouldn't know what to do sorry

Could you deduct the amount you think should be taken off and pay that as a one-off payment? Either she'll get in touch straight away to ask why you didn't pay enough or she'll send it out. Thats's what I'd do

Coldhands · 06/01/2010 19:35

As she has sent me a total I don't think I can change the amount, unfortunately.

You can pay someone direct through paypal regardless of whether or not you've completed a transaction, so maybe you could do that for the amount you think it should be?

Also, maybe she doesn't have her own PC and the snow has stopped her getting access to one at a library/friend's? Or maybe her phoneline is down due to snow? Suprising how many things this weather is affecting...

Why don't you request her contact details and phone her?

It sounds like, as you said, she has neglected to put a minus sign infront of the amount she's trying to take away and it's added it as a charge.

I wouldn't pay direct through paypal - although you are still covered it's not the same as if you paid via the auction. Also it doesn't mark the item as paid for the seller, which could cause more confusion.

Yeah I didn't want to go through paypal direct.

She has finally sent me a new invoice and deducted hardly any postage really. So much for combining.
