To have expected a new bun?

At Gourmet Burger Kitchen I asked for a burger with no relish. It came with relish, so I reminded them that I'd asked for no relish. It was given back to me with the relish scraped off and a hole dug in the bun to remove the residual relish. I was a bit surprised, but maybe I was being unreasonable to expect anything else??

I saw a Gourmet Burger plaCE oop North in Meadowhall today. Thought it must be posh and went to McDonalds.

Glad I did at those prices and doesn't even include chips!

It is certainly contrary to health and safety to return something to the kitch and the serve it again once it's been out. Restaurants I know of can't even do this with butter in those little foil packets, it's bad practice. Disgusting to scrape off the relish and give it back to you. If there were nuts and you had a nut allergy, would they just scrape them off too?

YANBU.

We've got a GBK in Manchester. It's nice, burgers tasty. Chips are lovely, except if you order chips and your dh does not. Then dh nicks half your chips.
