i ordered some very nice makeup from boots dot com. is ment to be a birthday gift for my dd1 - she will be 18 at end of the month.
i ordered quite a bit , some for myself and a large no7 gift set for her. it was shiped in two parcels. i signed for parcel number 1 , at 6pm dec 29th.
then waited and waited and today i got fed up and went back to boots.com to check when its getting delivered.( supposed to be next day delivery). followed the on line tracker thingy. ..... It linked to DHL .i clicked on the order number and it says my parcel was delivered and signed for at 6:30 pm 29th dec!.
arrrghhh!
I did not sign for it, i did not leave my house. We had pil in for dinner. At 6:30 pm on december 29th i was munching quite happily on steak pie , oblivious to the sticky fingered fiend that was pinching my parcel .
I HOPE HE GETS SCABS AND CHILBLAINS AND PAPERCUTS FROM ALL THE STUFF HE STEALS..

rockbird of course you can have some scabs for your delivery drivers , but because theyre late.

i think the problem is temparory(spelling , sorry) drivers that only have jobs over the xmas rush period , they know they will be laid off in the new year so dont really give too hoots tbh.

Eeek... now worried about my Next delivery, might arrive tomorrow while we're driving home. Definitely get onto DHL, though.

Boots are pretty good, I had a really damaged box of items delivered that I just had to wrap up because I couldn't get them replaced in time for Christmas and Boots refunded the cost as points on my Boots card. To be fair, Boots had poorly wrapped them but they sorted it out to my satisfaction with little prompting. Plus I went on a Boots points spending spree in the sales

Same thing happened with Amazon,courier said it had been left in an outhouse ,it strangely arrived the same day as the replacement one that Amazon sent so they were clearly lying. So now we have 2 parcels and I've got to arrange to send one back.

I had a card to say there were 2 parcels for me. One was redelivered. I had a call to say that there had never been two. This was after my emails had been ignored, the postman agreed there were 2 parcels and I had received the second parcel. . Royal Mail has really gone downhill over the last few years.

well to cover the point made about being delivered to the neighbours , i went and asked if they had recieved a parcel for me , all neighbours havent . ones downstairs from me , would be the most obvious choice as we share an entrance to the gardens, they were , as i thought earlier away visiting thier oldest daughter.
Am very worried , as i have also been waiting on delivery of ps3 games , for the DS`S that havent arrived either.
this has put me right off online shopping tbh .(think dh will like that though).

UPDATE! yesterday the missing parcel was delivered ! .
i know it was the original because it contained the free gift that they coudnt replace. .... so i phoned boots again , to tell them that the missing parcel had arrived.
they told me that the replacement is on its way already and i should recieve it today, so i asked if i caould keep both parcels and that they could charge my credit card for the other ..... i was put on hold for a minute .... the boots rep came back on the phone and said that they were unable to charge me for the other parcel as it had already been shipped, but because id been honest and phoned as soon as i recieved the parcel, and requested that they take payment , that i could keep the second parcel for free and they gave me 500 points on my boots card as a good will gesture,because of all the hassle.

• outstanding customer service! So appologies to mr dhl delivery driver , i take it all back ..(i suspect he got his ear bashed from his boss)

YANBU I was nearly killed on the A45 today by a stupid DHL delivery driver. It was terrifying!

Hi , first time on here.

I am so cross about DHL. Ordered expensive footie boots for my DS1 on his behalf, his own Christmas money as well.States on their tracking page that the parcel was delivered and signed for last night at 4.20. Oh no it bloody well wasn't cos I was at the Opticians with all 3 of my boys and my Dad was here waiting for it.We even live on a bus route with the kitchen on the front so you see everything go passed. Spoken to DHL and Sports Direct[don't even get me started on that lot]Going through pages to see what my rights are. Waiting to see what signature is produced, if any.Lot's OF OAP's round here , cant see any of them in Nike Mercurial Football Boots.{angry}
