I've had enough.

Yeah it was nice, but I'm bored now and quite frankly glad its over and BLOODY glad 2010 is over. I want to get on with the new year and Christmas was last year.

(I'm not a scrooge BTW, I love Xmas just found it quite exhausting this year)

I'm taking ours down tomorrow as DP will be working away next week so I want him here to help with getting it all into the loft. Otherwise it will all be lying around for another week or so waiting for him to get back.

NomDePlume · 02/01/2010 14:43

mine are coming down tmrw, was going to take them down today but have done some DIY instead and am going to tackle a stain on the living room carpet which is pre-treating as I type (NY eve incident) and then we're at my mate's 30th bairthday bash tonight. Will take them down tomorrow through the fug of a vodka, champagne and wine hangover.

Twelfth Night. It's one of those traditions I don't break. But then they didn't go up till Christmas Eve and I don't have a tree shedding needles.

MABS · 02/01/2010 15:08

down on 28th,couldn't wait any longer

mumeeee · 02/01/2010 23:13

Sorry YABU. I like the decorations up as long as possible, I Can't do any proper cleaning until then.

FimbleHobbs · 02/01/2010 23:30

Ours will come down on 12 th night, we have a fake tree so no worries about needles, and store them in garage so doesn't matter if DH is working or not as I don't need to go in the loft (not that I can't go into the loft just a bit silly to do it when alone with littlies).
I like stringing out Christmas as long as possible!

Ours came down yesterday so i could get the iron out and tackle two weeks of mounting laundry!!

hippipotamiHasLost77lbs · 03/01/2010 19:42

Mine always come down New Year's Eve as I cannot stand waking up in the New Year with 'last year's' decorations still up.
Always treat myself to a nice bunch of flowers or a bowl of hycinth bulbs or something to brighten up the living room.
I love it - clean and fresh and decluttered

choufleur · 03/01/2010 19:43
