No moaning here. Had had a great day with DH and DD

upafrozenhill · 25/12/2009 17:46

Oh I'm sorry to hear that flight attendant. Was the card meant nasty to you.Hope you are OK

Flightattendant · 25/12/2009 17:52

Thanks Upa, it's nice of you to say that.

I'll get there, still feel shaken and totally lost appetite but have recovered somewhat from shock.

Quattrocento · 25/12/2009 18:23

I don't mean to sound uncharitable and unchristmassy but I want everyone to go NOW. They have all been here since 11 ... and they look as though they have taken root.

Quattrocento · 25/12/2009 18:23

They could take my children with them, that'd be a bonus ...

claudialyman · 25/12/2009 18:41

poor flight. tis awful. have gotten that before and only thankful to get it far enough before christmas that i'd recovered. try alcohol (and chocolates to line your stomach if not hungry) and lots of warmth and dont let the thought of the person enter your head for the rest of the day - tell yourself you'll think about it tomorrow if you have to do, its a good way to cut the anxiety cycle (as is alcohol..)

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 25/12/2009 18:46

oh FA that's crap. Wasn't a card, but a phonecall that totally ruined my Christmas last year, that same person has left a really snidey comment, obviously aimed at me, on his facebook before he went out to a friends for Christmas lunch (having previously spent hours updating his status over the last 2 months moaning that he would be on his own at Christmas). It really gave me a knock, especially as it's a wierd christmas here as it is.

Unfortunately because of who he is I can't really remove him from my FB without causing even more issues, so am just trying to get on with the day as best as possible.

merrycompo · 25/12/2009 19:18

I've had a nice day but I'm glad they're in bed and it's all over

merrycompo · 25/12/2009 19:19

I'm even moe glad that for once we're at home and no visitors so I don't need to carry on being socialable all evening either

I can't even be bothered talking to dh, he's downstairs watching recorded dr who, me upstairs, this weekend we'll be driving each other up the wall, role on Tuesday when he goes back to work

pagwatch · 25/12/2009 19:51

Oh I have had a lovely day.
We ban visitors on christmas day. we have had prezzies, a lovely dog walk, then turkey and stuff, squidgy chocolate log, Dr Who, board games and lots of music.
I have got some lovely presents, all the kids loved theirs , DH loved his and has a good sleep on the sofa after a hard week.

We are going to curl up on the sofa this evening and drink a crate of champagne. Plus the kids don't wake us in the morning til about 9.00....
Bliss.

juneybean · 25/12/2009 20:16

It started well but now my mum is her usual drunk self and it just annoys me

JeMenFous · 25/12/2009 20:34
