I have cooked all day and have spent many weekends baking and making gifts ready for tomorrow. I enjoy doing it, I love to cook and often don't have time.

It is essential to remember Xmas is for the kids
who cares if you have five types if veg and three different veg and fil has his perfect red wine
as long as the kids are happy that's what matters IMO

went to tesco 30mins before closing, they have electrical sale stuff out already and people were swarming around the potted xmas plants for 50p

sherby · 24/12/2009 19:51

there are loads of cornershops still open on the day anyway

Yanbu. But this Mumsnetter just about pulls it out of the hat at the last minute. Agree Christmas dinner is easier to cook than lots of other family meals (pudding is already done, huzzah) - its the endless negotiations about who in the family is doing what, who wants what, and dealing with last minute illnesses, hospital admissions, snowfalls and altogether far too much socialising and alcohol consumption that makes it all go a bit fuzzy here. Am not a perfect Mumsy by any stretch of the imagination.

Likewise hully dear. Did you see I nominated you on the seasonal name change thread?

Have I mentioned that my mother is here for Christmas and has THROWN UP fgs!

I'm going to top up my glass. Sorry that you cannot .

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 24/12/2009 21:00

Bibb - Oh yes I can - it's not tomorrow yet...I wouldn't let them come tonight so I'm getting in my entire quota of bubbly now (burp, but gracefully).

Thrown up?? Class!

Thanks for nomination (tis really Greenelves). Have a good one.

In fact, Happy Christmas Everyone.
