Obviously this isn't really a very pertinent AIBU, but I know this part of the site is busy and I wanted to warn others about how treacherous it is out there.

I'm in Exeter, where the temperature has risen since yesterday and it's raining quite hard, so I blithely thought the ground would be fine. Crikey! I had DS (9 weeks old and pfb) in the sling and my feet went out from under me. I landed flat on my back so DS landed on top of me and seems none the worse for the experience. We have taken to our bed where DS is enjoying an unscheduled feed to steady both our nerves.

I'm not going out there again today!

Take care everyone!

Managed to fall over with 6 wk old DD in the sling in last Feb snow. Sprained my wrist in my effort to not fall on her so know how scary it can be. I think she stayed asleep tho...

This has always been my greatest fear about using slings. I'm little miss clumsy at the best of times so i have never entertained the idea of using one.

Must have been really scary for you, glad it turned out all right.
