Am I being unreasonable to wish that the government would impose a punitive tax rate on offenders?

I got one today from my Christian friend with the line "We were pleased to see the church building demolished this year"
It transpired that they were getting a nice new one, but it did make me for a moment...

Oh we did one mostly photos not many words . I agree with Piscesmoon, we have a lot of friends and relatives that are far away and as I'm delighted to catch up on their news and see how their children have grown I thought they would like to as well.

Maybe they are laughing behind our backs about how tacky and up ourselves we are or I prefer to hope that are not.

I do find some t some of the ones we get from across the pond rather odd where they go into excruciating detail about illnesses and mention the Good Lord a lot.

Sooo glad there's a thread on this.

We received one from a family who haven't sent one before.

It starts "this year in an attempt to save money and the environment we are not sending Christmas cards" before going on to boast about how well their dc are doing in their new private school, complete with exam grades etc.

Not as bad as one we have received regularly from someone who fancies himself as a musician (he's truly dreadful), which one year enclosed a CD he'd recorded and a demand for money cover his costs. ,

It was posted btw - so for the environment bit
