I've only got 3 to go to, one with some friends, one with some family and dh's work do, come and tell me how many invites you've got!

Very jealous of steamy and her ball. I went to loads as a student when I had no money and had to make balldresses, now I can afford to go to them no-one I know has them.
I probably just have the wrong hobbies, should do shooting and golf instead of running and cycling.

Big (posh trousers and sparkly bits) do on Saturday. Small do (nibbles and percussion) tomorrow. No work do at all - thank heaven for self-employment. A couple more informal dos with nice chums in between now and New Year's Eve. All looks v. promising.

2rebecca, I haven't been to any balls since uni either, and have suddenly been invited to two in a month! The one on Saturday is in the officer's mess so I'm hoping it'll be fairly glamorous...

Ah balls, those were the days!

As pre school parties are indeed allowed (if you chat and munch something!)then my grand total comes up to 5, I had another invite yesterday but can't go to that either.

But there is one more I'm arranging with a friend so that will be 6. So the secret really if you don't feel you are getting enough invites (and it bothers you) is arrange something instead. Come on Borderslass, nympha and lola!
