After the birth of my first DC 4 months ago I have a prolapse which was discovered at my 8 week checkup. Doctor said she would refer me for physio. I phoned Friday to chase it up and was told that it may take up to 16 weeks to get an appointment! It is causing me some distress as I am doing pelvic floors religiously but worry that it is getting worse with time and that if left too long I will never go back to normal! Am avoiding sex and don't feel I can talk to anyone about it as nobody I know has ever admitted that it happened to them. Finding the whole thing very distressing. Is 16 weeks a reasonable amount of time to wait? What do I do?

No its bloody well not, what exactly is a prolapse anyway btw

Prolapse is an old lady problem, or in my case after childbirth, where your insides start sagging! (I am sure there is a better description but this is how I feel about it...)

can you do shed loads of pelvic floor as from looking at either that or surgery thats the cure?

It would be good to read up on what the phsio would have recommended you do
