i was on the bus home this evening with my ds 12months old, and this idiot with 2 children in tow gets on the bus, you could hear her before she even got on the bus shouting at a polish woman saying "who do you think your f&ckin pushin ya polish c*t, you come here take our jobs" bla bla bla. she sat beside me (to my horror) and continued shouting as her mother refused to stay on the bus because of her behaviour.

after the 2nd bout of swearing i said "could you stop swearing and shouting theres no need!" this woman smelled like she fell into a bottle of vodka!!

the whole way home i was getting called a posh c*t, and who did i think i was.. a few woman behind me stood up for me and told her to be quiet she was embarassing herself and her children, then she said to me look at you kissin your ugly c*t of a wean (live in scotland!)i completely lost it, told her she was a disgrace and being a parent was a privilge not a right and that i felt sorry for her 2 kids as she was their parent. told her people like her should be sterilised!!

was i right or was i BU??

Don't like the sterilised comment, reminds me too much of the sort of thing a DM reader would say (not saying you are!).

But if someone called my dcs an ugly cunt I would totally lose it and probably lamp them so YANBU.

mummysgoingmad · 29/11/2009 20:45

bets shes drowning her sorrows in another bottle of vodka as we speak! who would take their kids with them while they get drunk in the 1st place..unbelievable and very irresponsible of the bar that serving her!

YANBU If she'd called my DC's ugly cunts I wouldn't have said anything, I would have just knocked the crazy fucked up bitch out. her poor kids

ilovepiccolina · 29/11/2009 20:59

Oh golly, how awful. YANBU, I think you were very brave to stand up to her. How embarrassing for her dch to have such a mother.

scottishmummy · 29/11/2009 21:00

YANBU. Good for you! I usually want to say something in situations like this but always bottle out. I bet you were shaking! The saddest thing of all is that her children will grow up thinking her behaviour is normal and then treat their own children in the same way IMO.

teameric · 29/11/2009 21:06

er yes if she called my kids ugly cunts

mummysgoingmad · 29/11/2009 21:07

not that i'm saying any of you implied that he wasnt just stating the obvious

groundhogs · 29/11/2009 21:14

YANBU, you deserve a medal for not separating her head from her body....

I shudder to think how I'd have reacted is someone called my DS anything like that....

Reminds me to stick to strict No Bus, EVER, rule.

Mishy1234 · 29/11/2009 21:15

What an awful woman and her poor children.

I'm not surprised you ended up saying what you did, but I doubt it made the slightest bit of difference to her. I'm very sorry you had such an terrible experience, you must be very shaken up.

What I find really concerning (apart from the impact on you and others on the bus) is that if she's willing to act like that in public, what on earth is she like behind closed doors? Her children must be living on a knife edge all the time, not knowing what their mother is going to do from one moment to the next.

Very, very sad indeed.

mummysgoingmad · 29/11/2009 21:17

i dont blame you groundhogs wish i could afford a car, maybe santa will bring me 1..how he'l fit that down the chimney i'll never know

scottishmummy · 29/11/2009 21:30

groundhogs · 29/11/2009 22:05

Hey, Santa can leave the car outside, just put the keys down the chimney...

I live in the back of beyond, no car, i'd not realistically get about anywhere!

Whatever anyone says, your response was restrained.

fledtoscotland · 29/11/2009 22:08

YANBU. I presume you live in the Strathclyde area like me.

MillyMollyMoo · 29/11/2009 22:15

I think I would have called the police she has no right to verbally abuse people in the street and isn't it a criminal offense to be pissed in charge of a minor ?

scottishmummy · 29/11/2009 22:15

sadly i am not suprised, lots scary mary on the bus

mummysgoingmad · 29/11/2009 22:34
