i don't get it.

why should i be expected to turn out on a bloody chilly evening to watch some unknown bod who thinks they are something special for once appearing in an episode of hollyoaks (or something) to flick a switch to light up the town with garish neon blue lights in November?

We didn't have a sleb, not even a z lister, just a local child who won a competition.

We usually have Rick Wakeman. It's awesome.

Does he do a 20-minute keyboard solo surrounded by all the lights and order a curry halfway through? I'd be disappointed if not.
