Tried to get a sweet, not too expensive dress for dd so toss up between Asda and Matalan. At Asda, from birth to 5 lovely, suddenly my child has become some kind of mini Jordan from age 5 upwards. What's going on?

So weird but I can certainly understand it! I need to find a next around here that stocks the nicer things now that I know (from my experience in a nice little country-esque town) that they do do things that suit me! I loved the shopping in that town, the charity shops were full of billabong/roxy/fat face/other skate/surf clothes and the shops there all had quite pretty and more 'conservative' wear I suppose. Back in Essex it's all revealing various bits of skin jumpers that don't cover your belly, etc No wonder the stereotype is down here, there's not much else to choose!
