Trying to figure this out

twolittlekings, if somebody gives us those drinks or we're in a cafe and that's the cheapest drink, I sometimes break the seal and take the lid off, tip a bit down the sink and top it up with water. At least that way they don't develop a taste for extremely sweety drinks.

I do that with normal fruit juice anyway so I could do that - had not thought of it!

As I say - it's so rarely that he has them and i never tell him that I have them in the cupboard, I just keep them there for if it might be a useful bribe ()

I wouldn't give DS a fruitshoot since watered down fruit juice (ingredients - fruit juice, water) is so much cheaper and doesn't contain sweeteners and e numbers. How long does it take to fill a beaker/plastic bottle with half juice half water anyway?

It's not like fruitshoot is the only bottled drink you can give children either is it - or has robinsons done such a good job of marketing that we now believe it's fruit shoot or water only? DH tends to forget to take a drink so buys DS pure juice or smoothies. Since FSes are about a quid each as well I simply don't see the point!

yes 2lk, mine too, v rarely have them, but I can't be bothered doing a dissertation on the toxicity of fruitshoots!

I don't give them to my kids but I do know that the ones with green tops contain sugar rather than sweeteners. The really toxic ones have blue tops!
