Case 1: DS1 was placed in isolation and sent to A&E because he had a high temp and sore throat and ears. And a history of tonsilitis and ear infections. So because the GP was scared, he had to be frightened by nurses in full infection control gear, and exposed to new infections in a hospital situation.
Case 2: I needed a nebuliser today, as my asthma is playing up. Instead of being able to access this at the surgery, I had to go 15 miles away and wait 2 1/2 hours to be seen, again at A&E, because there is a theoretical risk that using a nebuliser in the surgery could spread SF.
Any child with a sniffle appears to be being told they have SF and given Tamiflu - kids in DD's class have been told it's SF and then been back at school the following day! IT'S A COLD.
So, AIBU or has pretty much everyone else gone mental?
