Is it just us, or do other couples , have a set time/day once a week for 'adult time' (I am trying to be polite because I am quite prude!!)

(we have been together 8 years, have a 3yr old and a bump at 38 weeks)

We co-sleep with 3 year old, have from early on, and on on Sunday morning, hubby takes him downstairs and puts telly on for him to keep him otherwise engaged!!

It was not always like this, we were, lets say, rather more spontaneous when we were newly wed!! We have just settled into a pattern, where we both know where we stand and I particularly enjoy the routine, and look forward to Sundays all the more!!

Does anyone think this is unreasonable?? Or quite normal??

four days!! WOW i thought my 2 1/2 weeks was quite early!
my dp doesn't do well without sex either. its true, i think it makes u closer as a couple (for us anyway, not saying other ppl aren't close) but i feel somethings wrong if we haven't had sex for a few days

hanaboo · 30/10/2009 19:34

oh, don't worry monkey, we have some form of sex most nights so u are not alone
i'm not good with mornings so much tho

cornsilk · 30/10/2009 19:37

Not jiggy time anyway. (bah humbug)

eggontoast · 30/10/2009 19:37

Really, what's important is that both people are as happy as each other with frequency/style etc. I am extremely lucky that I have a very understanding partner because, although only 7lbs3, my first baby literally tore me apart and it took over 18 months to feel 'normal' again down below.

So, we are both delighted with once a week!! Before children, every couple of days!! In the first 3 years, every day, 2 or three times!!!

I am planning, for 3 years time, a really naughty weekend away!! I am an infinitely patient person!!!

What now? Blimey you're a bit forward.

hanaboo · 30/10/2009 19:41

its definitely true that if you are both happy with the frequency then thats great, its when one wants more than the other that you get problems

hanaboo · 30/10/2009 19:42

lol @ planning 3 yrs ahead

eggontoast · 30/10/2009 19:42

cornsilk - if you have a problem with jiggy time, you really should offer a suitable alternative if you are going to point that out! I was just trying to be non-crude. JIGGY TIME JIGGY TIME JIGGY TIME

3 years ahead planning - well, by then, child on way will be off the boob, I will be completely pain free, we will be seriously in need of an exciting parents only weekend - and I quite like spending time thinking up ways to make it dead saucy!! I am a freak though, I admit it!!

OH and I forgot, in 3 years I will also be the most toned, slim, beautiful, tanned, etc. (see, dream world) goddess that I was when I was 19years old when we got married!!!! (well I better be given some of my attire plans!! (or, candles will have to be lighting of choice!)

LOL @ Cornsilk

eggontoast · 30/10/2009 19:54

Well, this has been amusing, however, my son needs his mum and hubby at work on shift (maybe that explains the Sunday morning, because most nights I go to bed alone and he is sleeping half the morning!!)
