does playdoh come in a shade other than brown?

maybe your 2yo is indulging the current trend for beige/ sludge colours.?

Yanbu - it annoys me too so I never buy it. I don't mind making my own for them though, doesn't feel so wastful when it ends up in the bin.

pjmama · 27/10/2009 15:25

Totally agree, it drives me mental. I actually get agitated and anxious if any of the DCs toys get mixed up/put back in the wrong box/bits of games get lost etc. Can't rest until I've put it all back where it's supposed to be, which of course is impossible with Playdoh!!

I'm pretty sure I have OCD...

Lavenderfleurs · 27/10/2009 15:29

I doesn't happen. I am extremely vigilant when it comes to playdough .

Not just playdough though, I really have to grit my teeth when dd doesn't play with her dollshouse "properly" not to say "no darling, dolly doesn't want to dance on the roof/put her head down the toilet/come down the chimney like father Christmas, PLAY PROPERLY!!!!"

I have issshoooes .

browntrout · 27/10/2009 15:34

and don't get me started on jigsaws. I never knew how awfully bossy I would be about when and where and how they were done by my lovely toddler. I am a monster.

I love the smell of play dough. MMMMMMMMM. When I was a child, I used to try and eat it!

Craft for under 7's should be considered - MESS MAKING TIME - Then it develops into craft once the child starts to think like us adults about ruining things and making pretty things!!

Once I considered all 'craft' activities, mess making activities, I had much more fun with my son helping him make a mess.
