basl, sorry for bringing my situation into it. It was just that he'd (OH) just said what he did to me then I read your post and felt pissed of on your's and my behalf at men.
I think your DH was just a bit tactless but he loves you.
Mine is just a horrible, cruel shit.
Good luck and goodnight honey.

I think it was -one-- of many final nail in the coffin when an ex said to me "you know, if you lost a stone, clothes would look so much better on you"

Basl
I was about to come on here and give you a gentle 'pull yourself together' on the weight issue - I've been fattish, thinnish, and proper fat afer DS was born, you can't feel down about it, and losing weight is quite doable. But I see it's far more than that - perhaps you need to get some counselling to deal with your grief and help you feel comforted by things other than food and also try to communicate with your DH about how you feel - and that you could really use his support but that doesn't include criticism.

I use this site to lose weight. It is very sensible and easy, and has a very positive ethos, there is a brilliant community on there and separate discussion boards for different issues including comfort eaters, where you would find a lot of kindness and support.
