collected dd's today
I had asked for paracetamol, the doc knows dd and knows what she has(he precribed it for her a while back)
yet instead of liquid, he put soluble tablets!!
so he can't have read it can he, makes me think the receprionist, does them and he just signs them without looking.....
(it is ok as chemist will swap it)

This has nothing to do with SN - and actually I am pretty angry that thats suddenly what this is about - now you are struggling to find an argument!
Who mentioned SEN?? And why should it be any different or do you want special treatment, would it have been an ok error if it wasnt a SEN child ??

alypaly · 19/10/2009 09:29

macdoodle i am so glad for you and you team so to speak...so good a team that you pharmacist doesnt understand what you do...No one says that pharmacists are trying to do your jobthats your misinterpretation.Maybe pharmacists are unintelligent in your eyes and have no idea what goes on in a surgery, how pompous you are.

BTW who said you were lazy...i actually said i appreciate that doctors work hard...very sensitive arent we.

Like 2shoescreepingthroug... i am getting the impression from you that you believe doctors are beyond reproach.
How high is your pedestal...hope you dont fall off and hurt yourself, just incase there's a doctor who gives you the wrong meds. Also never seen you admit to mistakes, but maybe you are soooo perfect in your perfect little environment.

2shoescreepingthroug...maybe we should set up a thread on lets not blow the whistle on errors, poor polypharmacy, medicine wastage due to repeat prescribing( threw away over £3000 pounds worth of meds from one patient just due to repeat prescribing). Then we wonder why are taxes are so high. If the doctors saw the relevant patients instead of all these repeats ,maybe there wouldnt be such a hideous waste.

Didnt realise we couldnt talk anonymously about problems, didnt realise i was under communist rule. Maybe the pharmacist should report errors from doctors properly, but you all cover each others backs.
Proper documentation,,thats a laugh. hy do you think i got out....couldnt stand the deceit.

Anyway...enjoy smugland macdoodle.
Im off to a wonderful(NHS) hopsital thats cocked up a diathermy....

macdoodle · 19/10/2009 09:38

aly am not one for personal comments but you are slightly mad
Am off!

alypaly · 19/10/2009 09:46

must go see a psych ha ha ha ha ....didnt realise telling the truth was a sign of madness.Must see a GOOD doctor.

You respond very poorly to constuctive critism.

BTW if i was unprofessional i would be naming people...now that would be unprofessional wouldnt it.

I see now, you cant stand the heat, you have got out of the kitchen.

BYE BYE......wish i hadnt wasted all those years checking so much crap TBH.

hennypennyhen · 19/10/2009 10:42

God heavens aly- such vitriol! You do seem to have a few issues.
The OPs question was a perfectly reasonable one. The obvious solution would be to mention it to the GP involved. She was irritated but fortunately, it was a minor mistake.
I think all this ranting is pretty unecessary!

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 19/10/2009 11:06

macdoodle I suggest you read the thread.
I must remember that having a moan on mn is not allowed.....
ffs it is getting daft now, you seem to think you know what my dd can and can't swallow...

OP posts:
alypaly · 19/10/2009 11:45

no vitriol hennypennyhen ...you obviously believe all pharmacists do, is check things from your post....

I have no issues whatsoever. I just believe in the truth.
Didnt realise truth telling was unprofessional....was under the impression it was ethical and correct...maybe my morals are wrong....i think not.

What would be unprofessional, would be to name names and individuals...that i certainly wouldnt do.

If the truth hurts then so be it.

Have been a medical rep and a dispenser in those few 39 years and seen alot of things from lots of aspects that i dont agree with and alot of others wouldnt too.
Im now off for good as i cant be bothered discussing stuff that is irrelevant to my future now.

ErikaMaye · 19/10/2009 12:05

Oh so now we're digging at people with mental illnesses are we? Fab Wow, some people on here are so wonderfully delightful...

Excuse me, am off for an appointment with my antenatal physc.

hairyclaireyfairy · 19/10/2009 12:17

Duh mcdoodle sn is relevant to the op point, you appear to have a problem with sen and I do hope you are not like this in rl.
Yes actually I do expect different treatment for my disabled child more so than a nt child of the same age and without having to ask for it in our practice because our GP's actually have compassion and understanding.Sounds like a little bit of disability awareness would do you no harm whatsoever. I hope that in your perfect little life with your wonderful children that you never have to encounter disability of any kind and yes I am being personal and would not normally but you ABU.

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 19/10/2009 12:41

hairyclaireyfairy thank you
Like you I do expect my dd's gp to understand(and tbh this is a rare slip up)

macdoodle · 19/10/2009 13:05

Are you serious???? You think I have a problem with SEN - fuck that - show me the post were it proves that - or take your nasty little insinuations elsewhere!!!

hairyclaireyfairy · 19/10/2009 13:11

yes I am serious???????????????
seems you can give it out but not take it !!!!

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 19/10/2009 13:40

macdoodle do chill dear.
you seem to be taking this all way to seriously.
perhaps you think sn should be kept in it's box, but it can't be,
i menetioned dd's needs way back here

By 2shoescreepingthroughblood on Thu 15-Oct-09 18:58:43
sorry should have explained.
dd has a repeat prescription for various meds she is on, including her epilepsy meds.
I don't normally ask for paracetamol on prescription but she has been using it a lot due to pain/uncomfortness from an operation.

I think if you had bothered to have read the thread you would have realised you were barking up the wrong tree.......
