To be furious about overpriced nappies?

Just back from 1 week in Cyrus. Had no idea that it was so expensive - admittedly the resort we stayed in was nice (5 Star) so we sort of expected to pay over the odds to food, drink etc but was just shocked to go to supermarket in the nearby village and pay no less than ?12.50 for a pack of 30 nappies (Pampers) - the same pack usually cost around £6 from Waitrose. Can understand them adding on one or two euros but nearly doubling the price on something which is a necessity makes my blood boil.

I apologise if I hurt feelings, perhaps I was too terse.
But don't you think that relative to the entire cost of the holiday, it's a petty gripe? Reminds me of Famous celebrities who go thru phases of trying to micro-manage their household finances because they're so paranoid that "everyone" is trying to rip them off. Famous Celeb then quibbles over some minor thing, like the cost of photocopying 3 sheets of paper. During the time they spend arguing with some minion about it, another $5000 goes into their bank account from Royalties or whatever.

Doesn't Cyprus have the Euro now? Did you miss all the stuff about the recession and the exchange rate bewteen the euro and the pound before you went away?

Greedy shopkeeper ripping you off? You have no idea what they cost him to buy, you have no idea what the profit is, you are assuming.

YABvU now. You are staying at a 5 star resort and you are complaining about somebody trying to make a living, bitching over the cost of one pina colada. Boo bloody hoo for you.
