So I am (a) a tosser and (b) should be liable to suffer the death penalty.

Pretty mild reactions for MN, all told

OrmIrian · 28/09/2009 11:10

Well I think they should be banned anyway as they tend to promonte 'I know my rights' outrage and nastiness. So YANBU. Especially in the evenings.

DoNotPressTheRedButton · 28/09/2009 11:13

Ah but GetOPrf are you a tosser that would otherwise park in a disabled sapce?

If so then OK fair enough I shall leave unchallenged

If not well then doesn't apply to you (tosser I man, sure death penalty still satnds )

Sassybeast · 28/09/2009 11:13

Doesn't bother me. I quite enjoy the clunk of metal as I smash my door into accidentaly knock the shiny red paintwork of the twonk in the sports car as I struggle to get newborn twins and a toddler out of my car.

TAFKAtheUrbanDryad · 28/09/2009 11:16

DoNot - it's babies won't rust, dahling.......

DoNotPressTheRedButton · 28/09/2009 11:17

rust, melt, spontaneously combust or besold drugs byy predatory hoodies whatever

pooexplosions · 28/09/2009 11:18

Shouldn't they be getting ready for bed though by 5.30pm, so 7pm is way too late to be using those spaces!

Any under 5 out after 7.30 should be rounded up in the style of the dog catcher from Annie, and sold at auction.

TAFKAtheUrbanDryad · 28/09/2009 11:19

Rounded up by this man, surely?

GetOrfMoiLand · 28/09/2009 11:19

God no don't park in disabled spaces, I may be a tosser but I am not an arsehole.

DoNotPressTheRedButton · 28/09/2009 11:19

How do you know they don't haveSN though?

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 28/09/2009 11:20

Why do people have such an issue with parents getting wider spaces? They aren't so we don't have to walk far, or so the kids don't get wet, but so you can manouvre kids/car seats/buggies without breaking your neck hauling baby in at an unnatural angle because you have precisely 6in between your car and the twerp next to you who can't park, or leaving child in trolley in the 'road' area while you unlock car and put shopping away, thereby leaving them vulnerable to twerps who drive too fast or are unable to park properly.
Seems quite simple to me! Although YANBU to park in them in the evening as there will only be a few parents who need them.

TAFKAtheUrbanDryad · 28/09/2009 11:21

Actually, I reckon that people with only one child should bugger orf and use the prole spaces. People like me, with a toddler and a baby are obviously far more needing of a P&T space than someone with only one baby. Single babies are easy ffs.

LyraSilvertongue · 28/09/2009 11:23

My two only get dragged to the supermarket after 7 if I realise we've run out of wine milk. Otherwise I go in the day when all the little brats angles are at school.

LyraSilvertongue · 28/09/2009 11:23

Angels

DoNotPressTheRedButton · 28/09/2009 11:24

No chance TAFKA they should be left for me, 4 kids, 2 with SN and one in a buggy.

That's every space in every car park btw, just in case we fancy that aprticualr one

OrmIrian · 28/09/2009 11:26

Aha non anglii sed angeli eh lyra

TAFKAtheUrbanDryad · 28/09/2009 11:27

Yep, you trump me alright DoNot!

boundarybabe · 28/09/2009 11:29

God I'm glad I don't drive. Walking everywhere is far slower but the politics are much simpler. I am prone to the odd bout of pedestrian rage though and have been known to shout 'indicate!' at tossers who nearly run me over. But that's a whole nother thread.

DoNotPressTheRedButton · 28/09/2009 11:30

Not giving up the car, i;d have to buy all my food in the Spar and live on pot noodles llike the students- gross

Ambi · 28/09/2009 11:36

or just shop online...

LyraSilvertongue · 28/09/2009 11:43

Sorry Orm, I don't understand your post [thick emoticon]

imaginestrictlytwirlynamehere · 28/09/2009 11:45

YABU - other children's bedtimes are no business of yours. I really really really hate the insiduous nature of the assumption that children should be in bed by 7pm. Children should have the right number of hours sleep per day - when they have it DOES NOT MATTER.

CNyle · 28/09/2009 11:48

rofl at red button

someone came up with an acronym for that last week

GetOrfMoiLand · 28/09/2009 11:49

UTHSN - unless they have special needs (iirc).

Very useful on all AIBU threads I reckon.

CNyle · 28/09/2009 11:50

was it you dear heart?
