because ALL they address each other as is "honey".

Whether it be in slightly whiney "aren't I being cute" tones, "honnnneeeeeyyyyyyy" or yelled from downstairs to upstairs "HONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY", or even just any time you may want to get the attention of each other, "hun / honey / huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun"

FFS you have names - USE THEM!

ChunkyMonkeysMum · 19/09/2009 22:37

Oh Trinity, I am so sorry to hear that.
Sorry for prying, but thank you for telling me. I completely understand why all the apologies now, but you really shouldn't feel like you need to apologise to anyone......Anyone who knows you will understand.

I know I don't know you, but I really feel for you & would just like to say that I think it's great that you're back on here so soon. Keep your chin up & keep posting

YANBU my sil and her man do this all the time..send sickening messages to each other over bebo, feed each other kfc and other truely gag worthy things. Fair play thery're in love but theres a time and a place people! i want to shout GIVE IT A F*ING REST, WE GET IT YOUR IN LOVE! at them. I'm in love but dont feel the overwhelming need to feed me DP kfc in front of people

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 19/09/2009 22:47

ponders KFC as love-symbol

shudders

scottishmummy · 19/09/2009 23:05

feed and KFC surely an oxymoron?

LadyoftheBathtub · 19/09/2009 23:09

Me and DP call each other by a pet name - we both use the same one. It's not totally sickening (like twinkiebum or something) but it is probably revolting for anyone who has to hear it. DP is pretty good at not using it in front of people but I am crap and often forget.

If someone else did this I would think they were appalling, but because it's me I think I can get away with it. again!

TeamEdwardTango · 19/09/2009 23:11

Seen the scene in Gavin and Stacey where Nessa and Smithy eat KFC? Now there's KFC as a love symbol!!

moondog · 19/09/2009 23:12

Northern, that is hilarious.

TeamEdwardTango · 19/09/2009 23:13

BTW, DH is called an abbreviation of his name, or my nickname for him, or love.
I've given up trying to call my DS's by name. They are both "Dude" at the moment.

tulpe · 19/09/2009 23:19

Hmm......am undecided whether YANBU because I too hate all that crap, lovey-dovey bolleaux, or whether YABU because actually they are just in luuurve and you should get on with your own.

I love it when DH says my name. But perhaps that's because I married a "foreigner" and he says my name in an exotic sexy way......

I cannot stand pet names and really at Babe, hun etc. When DH wants to wind me up he will call me Babe......particularly in a very public place.....like the middle of John Lewis, for example!

dawntigga · 20/09/2009 07:33

erm YABatinybitU I call him Muffin all the time and really don't care what other people think of it. There are no whiney voices it's just his alternative name, in fact I only call him by his given name if he's in trouble We've been together nearly 12 years and still act like we're in the first flush of love. Mind you if you saw the rows you'd know we aren't

Trinity, I can't even begin to imagine and there really are no words. I hope you don't mind if I send some pleasant thoughts in your general direction.
