I know I am, but this Big Issue seller is trying to sell to the public and I won't go near him even though I want to buy one because....

...he has an enormous rottweiler. That was the reason I haven't been near him to buy one before.

Today I saw him and he had a rottweiler and...a doberman.

And yes, I know companion dogs can be hugely important if you are homeless and that's why I know I'm being unreasonable.

But so many people must give him a wide berth and not buy from him because of his dogs. I;ve seen him walk through the shopping centre without a the rotty on a lead.

No wonder he only BI vendor in town...his big dogs have chased the others over the city limits

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Mamazon · 12/09/2009 22:06

if he walks about without a lead then i would guess that the dogs are very well behaved and well socialised and would do you no harm.

otherwise someone would have reported him and they would have been taken away.

its wrong to judge all dogs merely by their breeds reputation

bangandthedirtisgone · 12/09/2009 22:07

This isn't the chap in Milton Keynes is it?

If so YANBU and many people give him a wide berth.

scottishmummy · 12/09/2009 22:09

so many people must give him a wide berth
you presume - can you substantiate

fact he still has pitch suggests it is viable.the BI sellers are self employed, they buy upfront and sell on

Meglet · 12/09/2009 22:11

If you have young dc's with you then YANBU. I love dogs but would rather keep my children and unfamiliar big dogs well apart.

GirlsAreLOud · 12/09/2009 22:12

That's a good point and reassuring actually, that he's not going without otherwise he would have gone out of business. And has already been said he must be doing pretty well to feed two massive dogs.

I will carry on giving him a wide berth and not have a moments guilt about it.

Thanks.

and BATDIG, I don't really want to say where it is. But..

bangandthedirtisgone · 13/09/2009 15:19

Haha, didn't see this last night:

"pals mob pile in to defend indefensible"

Utterly indefensible to not want to go near a large, unknown dog that isn't tied up, that really should be a crime shouldn't it?

And seriously SM, you do need to take your own advice and unclench and take a big ole cup of shutdafuckup yourself.
