OH MY GOD. Could I BE any more irritable??

bear in mind that I am nearly 38 weeks pregnant so much of this is prob as much down to hormones as to my generally unpleasant nature

BUT

Oh. My. God. EVERYTHING is irritating me so much. Had a text from a friend who has just come back from hols saying "Is baby still with mummy?" and the simpering-ness of it made me nearly hurl the phone through the window

Have been waiting for another friend to return the carseat I loaned her when she had her baby last year for WEEKS (I had another thread about this) - have asked her for it, have offered to go to hers and pick it up, and finally resorted to saying "I need it this weekend without fail" and had a text back from her saying "bit busy this weekend .. could perhaps drop it around Tues" (background info - she has one child, I have two toddlers and could give birth any day now) Told her not good enough so I am getting it from her tonight ... but fear I may shout at her....

and even just the THOUGHT of some people is annoying me!!!!

I am a bad, bad person.

That level of irritability was a sure sign of going into labour for me - went to bed hopping mad about something that I can't even remember now, woke up furious 'cos DH was snoring. Stomped upstairs to spare bedroom, and awoke agin at 5 am with my first contraction. DD born 4 hours later. Good luck

LetThemEatCake · 06/09/2009 20:47

have just read back over this thread and am ROFL at Deeeja

"I am nearly 38 weeks, and bloody annoyed at everyone and everything too.
I am also annoyed at your friend and would have killed her by now.
dh is driving me bonkers. He stood in front of me while I was trying to unload the dishwasher, WHY?"

Brilliant.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 06/09/2009 20:52

oooh, and there was I going to wait and buy it as a treat for losing more weight. 3kgs this week!

Pikelit · 06/09/2009 23:25

DS1 was late arriving. My ex-dh was car sharing to school and every fucking night, his sharer (and friend of mine) would come into the house, look at the beached whale that was me at 42 weeks and say "Still here then?". It got to the stage that I wanted to hurt her. Badly.

LetThemEatCake · 07/09/2009 09:36

have just realised that the carseat has been returned without the newborn head-support bit

JAYSUS!!!!!

I just don't have the energy for this

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 07/09/2009 12:54

You can buy those separately, might be worth it to not have to deal with her again?

I will look if I have one if you want.

CHOOGIRL · 07/09/2009 13:51

Is this the same friend who borrowed your best jeans and has ruined them? Or the one who has 'borrowed' your maternity wear and took ages to give them back? If so, make a mental note to NEVER, EVER, lend her anything again. And if she asks why then tell her. You are more patient than me!

claw3 · 07/09/2009 14:09

Most people irritates me and i havent been pregnant for 6 years now. YANBU.

LetThemEatCake · 07/09/2009 18:01

FabBakerGirl - that would be ace, would you mind?

Choogirl, I am so embarrassed that you remember all of my gripes!!!! Erm .... it's the same one who took ages to give my maternity clothes back. And the one who made the simpery "baby still with mummy" comment is the one who borrowed my jeans.

Both such nice people but just too flakey for cantankerous old me!!!

traceybath · 08/09/2009 11:39

LTEC - that white co cardi is available to order but not for despatch until oct/nov.

LetThemEatCake · 08/09/2009 22:56

thanks traceybath!!

I ordered in in S and M just to be on the safe side .. will have the M soonish but S not until Nov ... but often these things take less time than they originally say, so fingers x'd.

I bought the Isabella Oliver cable cosy too ... and now the weather has turned summery again!!!

BTW ... got the head support back.... and had a good injection of retail therapy ... feeling much more charitable now ...
