to have shaken DH's beer bottles when I was pissed off with him?

We had words last weekend, he was an arse and did that annoying storming off thing that really winds me up.
I was ironing and the nearest thing to hand was the beer fridge. So I took 2 out at a time and shook them really hard and then put them back. I did another 2, and felt a bit calmer.
Didn't think anything of it, until last night when we were watching TV and he opened a bottle of beer and it exploded all over the floor.
I was impressed that they were still so fizzy.
He wasn't impressed when the next 3 did the same.
I really was lmao inside but had to feign ignorance.
especially when he said "It's like someone has been shaking them"
He put it down to the fact that they were on their side.
It was bloody funny though.
Unreasonable of me?

he most likely come back scarred for life though

TrillianAstra · 29/08/2009 13:39

It stays fizzy that long? That sounds dangerous!

peanuthead · 29/08/2009 15:41

I'm having a really really shitty time, not going to go into it here there are other threads where I'm getting lovely handholding, but your post has made me laugh and laugh for the first time since tues.

I'm still laughing...thankyou thankyou thankyou pure purple. Just what I needed!

moondog · 29/08/2009 15:54

Very funny

Ninks · 29/08/2009 17:01

Someone sent my DS flying with his trolley in the supermarket earlier. He had beer. Was really tempted after reading this but he didn't let it out of his sight.

How did you manage to keep a straight face when DH said, "it's as if someone has shaken it"?

I'd have been on the floor crying with laughter!

purepurple · 29/08/2009 17:06

I have the knack of hiding my feelings, it comes from working with children for all those bloody years. Plus he was in the kitchen, so I had time to compose myself.

agree with anyone that says you're a genius! You are so that and more! Who gives a toss that it's passive agressive, it's a masterpiece!

Way better than the times i rubbed my hubby's toothbrush in the soap on a few occasions..

If my hubby drank beer, i'd def have to do it, but i'd have to make sure i was out when he opened them..

How the hell did you manage not to laugh?

MmeLindt · 29/08/2009 21:34

LOLOLOL

Just read this thread to my DH. He wants me to stop reading MN in case I get ideas

You are brilliant, no way would I have been able to keep a straight face.

Thanks, I really needed that.

purepurple · 30/08/2009 08:48

I still can't stop laughing when I read this thread
I think I must just be evil
I suggested to a work colleague a way to stop another colleague plonking the children in front of the DVD. I suggested she turn the batteries in the remote control the wrong way round and slightly pull out the scart lead. When the scart lead is loose, you can still hear it, but you get no picture. The colleague in question is toothicktechnically challenged to work it out.

nickschick · 30/08/2009 17:14

I do this sort of thing hadnt realised it made me a passive aggresive - the best thing i do is undoing the seam on his trousers so when he bends over they split .

Loosening the button nearest to his tummy on his shirts so when he breathes out they pop off.

if im particularly annoyed I make a tiny tear in the top tea bag so when he makes tea in the morning he gets leaves in his tea .....

vinblanc · 30/08/2009 17:57

If you still have shaken bottles yet to be opened, just give them a sharp tap. That should stop them fizzing.
