To stop DH taking DS (6) to a concert at the O2 in London?

DS is nuts about Green Day (American pop/rock group).
DH bought 2 tickets to see them at the O2 in London in October and wants to take DS.
I think DS is too young - the concert is in the evening, about an hour's journey away, and might blow my little darling's eardrums
Am I being unreasonable?

I'd make sure he had ear "defence" and I'd get dh to plan to stay only for an hour. But it will be a big event for your ds, let them go.

Aww let him go! I took my 7 year old to see McFly...he absolutely LOVED it. Me? I took a book to read LOL!

I love Green Day, as does my DS, also 6. I would not take him to a concert though. I think the lanugage will be totally inappropriate, and I would also worry about the crowds.

And, I see myself as a pretty chilled out Mum.

If they are going to drive then parking at the O2 is £20 if you pre-pay (book via ticketmaster)

We took our 6.5yo to see U2 at Wembley a couple of weeks ago and he absolutely loved it. May not get ear plugs to fit but ear defenders (a la Apple Martin at Live 8 a few years ago) are the way to go; think you can get them on ebay. Just amke sure he knows what he's in for - ds2 thought they would just play 2 or 3 songs and then go!
