irritating posts? I would only do it occasionally, well only once actually to this poster.

I have name changed cos they will know who they are otherwise and I am not up for having a row tonight.

Well am I?

nope not aggressive actually just deriding your dumbass post (in a relaxed manner)

Um...

Hide topics, yes. I steer well clear of a couple of things after getting my fingers burnt a few times and flouncing...

Hide individual posters, no. If you feel exasperated every time s/he posts, you will be even more exasperated to know s/he has posted but not what s/he's said. especially if others reply to the post.

So no, dreadful idea.

catinthehat just drop it would you?

I'm sick to death of seeing SM being brought up in these threads, the OP doesn't want to say, she said it was a new poster.

Just leave it.

Oh is it scottishmummy?

Report
Getouttamaface · 22/08/2009 22:20

No, I don't think I do actually, this poster on the other hand does but she is new and I don't want to make her feel like shit so I had a little rant on here. Not going to bully someone because they say things I don't like as happens with alarming regularity in AIBU.

And with that I am off because I have always thought that much of AIBU is "sanctioned bullying", thats why I rarely post on this particular board. Everyone working out their frustrations and setting impossibly high standards that they probably don't begin to live up to themselves for the hapless people who post on here. There is some right self righteous clap trap on this particular board, and yes this thread as started by me ranks highly, I admit that.

I have an idea who you mean actually- but trust me, there are far more irritating people around, here and in RL, so just go and work on your blood pressure!

I don't think hiding posters would make much sense, just ignore the threads or don't respond to the poster. It's only human to get wound up sometimes though.

YABU because everyone is entitled to their viewpoint, and one persons pain in the neck is another persons

It takes all sorts, there are loads of us on here, as long as the person isn't being personally insulting as per the MN agreement thingy then no, you should not be able to block individuals.

If you have had a run-in and are upset/pissed off, take a break for a few days, avoid contentious threads and return more relaxed later.
