to not feed my friends fat dog as much as she told me to while she is away?

Dog is overweight, so much so that its legs are shaking when it just stands there.

She didn't ask me to feed it an excessive amount but personally I don't think that a 4 year old standard poodle needs three meals a day.

So AIBU? And would you say something to friend about how fat her dog is?

cut the food down but please please dont mention in the dogs hearing that you think he is fat it will damage hes self esteem for ever . lol

I have a staffordshire bull terrier and she doesnt get 3 meals a day!
Id do what other people have said, still feed the dog 3 meals but reduce how much each meal is. You arnt being an untrustworthy friend by doing that, you are being a good one by prolonging the life of what I assume is a much loved pet.
