to wonder whether the new family that live next door work?

A new family, Asian (but that's by the by), have moved in next door. I don't see the man or woman going out to work at all. We live in an area that's up and coming with young, aspirant, professional families. AIBU to think they might be lowering the tone?

PS I like curry.
PPS Isn't it great about the Daily Mail tie in?

If they do turn out to be swingers, let us know all about it so we can read it in the DM and get vicarious kicks tut and shake our heads.

coolma · 19/08/2009 20:35

Don't be silly, marihooahna growers are chinesey types aren't they? And all black men in bmw's are the drug dealing baron types that cruise around council estates. I read the express too you see.

HaggisNeepsnTatties · 19/08/2009 20:38

Actually, I think they may be undercover cops spying on you...apparentyl they are clamping down heavily now on idiots...

knockedgymnast · 19/08/2009 20:42

Lowering the tone or darkening the tone??

itsmeolord · 19/08/2009 20:43

It's easy to tell if they are swingers, they will be growing pampas grass in their front garden. It's a sign apparently.

They probably have lots of debt as well that they knew they would never be able to pay back. Scum.

(i get the thread by the way and think it's quite funny, think tongue in cheek ladies)

screamingabdab · 19/08/2009 20:52

itsmelord Is that true about the pampas grass ???

That means my parents were swingers (come to think of it, they do read the Guardian.......)

Overmydeadbody · 19/08/2009 20:57

Watch out, they'll be hanging their washing up outside to dry next, that will really lower the tone.

and you might get Indian cooking smells wafting around the neighborhood. That will effect house prices.

oneopinionatedmother · 19/08/2009 20:57

have you noticed any guys in beards with large packages strapped to their bodies going round for conferences?

i would be very concerned, particularly if they are teachers. Academic types are known for their love of espousing extremist causes.

maybe you should call social services straight away?

obviously the government should do something about these people!

Overmydeadbody · 19/08/2009 20:59

Yes I can confirm the pampas grass thing.

Schubert this is funny.

EccentricaUsesTheDMForBogRoll · 19/08/2009 21:02

Almost certainly one of the following

a) benefit scroungers

b) on disability benefit

c) asylm seekers about to poach a british persons job

d) feckless

e) drug dealers

f) sex traffickers

g) sex offenders

h) illegal immigrants

i) nurses

GruffaloMama · 19/08/2009 21:03

ROFL. Which after the day I've had is what I need. Thank you Schubert.

weegiemum · 19/08/2009 21:05

Eccentrica - they are possibly all of those at the same time.

dailymailIsPerfectAsaPoopScoop · 19/08/2009 21:07

sorry schubert just a bit slow tonight!

TheCrackFox · 19/08/2009 21:11

Are you absolutely sure that they are Asian and not Mexican? They might be spreading Swine Flu.

I suggest barricading yourself in for the next 2 months.

oneopinionatedmother · 19/08/2009 21:17

my parents also have pampas grass at the front of their house!

do you think....?

@schubert

you may be too old for homework, but why aren't you losing your baby weight (from the next baby), exercising to Jordans latest workout video to keep yourself attractive and doing paid work whilst staying at home to give your children the best start in life????

enquiring minds need to know!

MovingOutOfBlighty · 19/08/2009 21:22

We should get Liz Jones's opinion on this, as it sure is needed.

She always says such pertinant things about every aspect of life and would have just the right advice for you, i'm sure.

Knickers0nMaHead · 19/08/2009 21:31

Fuckwit.

lisad123wantsherquoteinDM · 19/08/2009 21:32
