How do you know what the person you are buying for will be wanting?

What if come christmas you have either won the lottery or gone bankrupt, affecting how you'll be 'doing' christmas?

What if you are not liking the person you have already bought for come December?

How? Why? How?

Oh and bloody shut up about it too. Bah bloody Humbug.

I have bought a few toys in the summer sales. It does help to spread the cost. I don't feel Christmassy until a lot nearer the time though, this early preparation is purely a practical thing.

Something I've found to be invaluable in my 'getting organised' obsesssion over the years is to place my veg order with my local greengrocer. They lose out to the bigger shops at Christmas so many will deliver for free.

Mine works like this...

  1. Sometime in November write a list of what I want.
  2. Give it to the nice lady in the greengrocers and she'll write the order in the book and agree a delivery date. Mine doesn't ask for a depost but some do.
  3. Sit back and forget about that bit of the shopping . No more fighting for parsnips in the supermarket!
