I'm about to marry DP, is it a coincidence that since he's become a millionaire that women from his past keep popping up, claiming he's the 'daddy' of numerous children??

No, rubyblueberry, I don't ALWAYS marry millionaires, I once married someone who was so abusive I didn't know what day it was. But have since come to my senses. This will only be my third marriage

Yes, mumcentreplus, this is probably worthy of jeremy vile.

Not sure what you are on about, proverbial.

I was about to link to a piccy of a monkey for ya, MCP, and then discovered this!!

Yikes!

jackadandyz · 04/08/2009 00:47
Hmm

OK, I see it now. 'millionaire' is not a term that should be used if you want to be taken seriously.

Apologies for any offence caused.

@ "this will only be my 3rd marriage"

jackadandyz · 04/08/2009 01:07

should have said - 'since it has been stated publicly that he is a millionaire, women from his past are claiming that he is the father of their children'.

Any advice??

...so how many have crawled out the wood-work then?

posieparkerinChina · 04/08/2009 03:16

I know him, he's the father of three of my children [hopes for cash emoticon].

Momdeguerre · 04/08/2009 10:01

OP - not having much luck in getting any suggestions!

So, your DP now millionaire and therefore all his exes have decided he is father of their DCs - correct?

Surely this is a non issue? If he is a millionaire - pay for the dna tests - sorted.

Would have thought this was just one of the many hazards of being wealthy - not really sure I have any sympathy for him but can understand it must be distressing for you.

flatcapandpearls · 04/08/2009 10:06

Why would you publically declare yourself a millionaire? Did you have vol au vents at the declaration?

pagwatch · 04/08/2009 10:09

Umm.
His financial status is neither here nor there surely. My DH may well be worth persuing finacially but we are not pestered by women claimming he impregnated them as he does not have unprotected sex with lots of women.
Your problem is not his money. Your problem is that he is A) a bit dim and B) a bit of a trollop.

Agree with Momdeguerre. Pay for the tests and get it over with. But the tests will not change the fact that he is not showing you a history full of personal responsibility.

pagwatch · 04/08/2009 10:12

at Flatcapandpearls.
Perhaps it was just a small line in the times - an announcement. Presumeably just after marriages and just before births.

sorry jackadandyz. Couldn't resist

idranktheteaatwork · 04/08/2009 10:15

lottery winner perhaps?

simplesusan · 04/08/2009 10:15

Strange thread, not really sure what you want anyone to say. Are you having second thoughts about marrying him?

Personally I think that having one "mistaken pregnancy" is an accident and no big deal. 2 and I would be a bit peeved. Anymore than this, to different women, and I would be thinking he has a serious problem with respect both for women, his own health and the very unfortunate chidren concieved through fecklessness.

MANATEEequineOHARA · 04/08/2009 10:18

If this is real I don't think you should be getting married if he has a habit of sleeping around and getting women pg!? That is regardless of how much money he has, or hasn't got!

mumblechum · 04/08/2009 10:23

SimpleSusan'ts hit the nail on the head.

Am also ROFLing at "only my 3rd Marriage" (so far!)

proverbial · 04/08/2009 10:25

But in the OP's other thread, she says that the kid he thought was his for 20 years isn't his after all. So thats less kids than they thought?
Or is this a different man since then? All sounds a but fishy to me

Proverbial Maybe that was her second husband...

SoupDragon · 04/08/2009 10:27

In the words of Mrs Merton: "So, jackadandyz, what do you see in the fond-of-unprotected-sex millionaire XXX?"

theyoungvisiter · 04/08/2009 10:29

"numerous children" ?! [boggles]

surely he either is the father - in which case they have every right to "pop up"

or he's not the father in which case no problem?

Either way it's not beyond the wit of man and science to solve this problem once and for all.

Off-topic, but why has it been "publicly announced" that he's a millionaire?

mumblechum · 04/08/2009 10:55

bumping for the answer to that last post

expatinscotland · 04/08/2009 10:59

yuk. why would anyone want to marry someone who screwed around with no condom?

barf.
