random · 01/08/2009 00:36

Facebook was being a twat and Digital spy was down ...so here I am

giraffesCantCatchSwineFlu · 01/08/2009 00:39

YANBU I've spent lots of time on here this summer - its great. I want lots of people to spend lots of time on here then my summer of being off work goes in faster.

FAQtothefuture · 01/08/2009 00:45

god yes - the amount of posts some make - at all hours of the day is just ridiculous

giraffesCantCatchSwineFlu · 01/08/2009 00:58

That FAQ in particular, she always seems to be on the same threads as me.

FAQtothefuture · 01/08/2009 01:04

there's a long necked stalker round these parts that is EVERYWHERE - especially on threads that I post on

giraffesCantCatchSwineFlu · 01/08/2009 01:14

Sorry sorry hope I didn't infect you there

everythingistaken · 01/08/2009 02:34

maybe

posieparkerinChina · 01/08/2009 03:37

How could you?????

lulalullabye · 01/08/2009 03:49

Why would you post this at this time of night op ??

Scared of the response from people who post too much ?

mumblechum · 01/08/2009 04:46

Yes. My excuse is that I was pissed last night and have the wake up at 3.30 syndrome remembering how embarrassing I was thing.

Off to make hot choccies & read Jane Austen now, that'll sort me out.

And yanbu, I sometimes think "ffs stop moaning how messy your house is/demanding your kids/husband/whatever is, get off MN & sort them out!"

KingCanuteIAm · 01/08/2009 06:01

What has it got to do with you? Who gets to say how much is too much or too little?

Odd question

LynetteScavo · 01/08/2009 09:06

@ how defensive some responses on this are!

OP posts:
foofi · 01/08/2009 09:09

I definitely spend too much time here - it's an addiction! Am glad I'm going on holiday soon as it forces me to walk away from the computer

ssd · 01/08/2009 09:27

true ( to op)

bradsmissus · 01/08/2009 09:49

Well I know I do. When I left work yesterday I siad "Right, I'm off to get the DCs!". I have also started writing DCs and DH in my diary to save the gargantuan effort of writing their four and six letter names!!!!

EccentricaGallumbits · 01/08/2009 09:53

YANBU I only post one a month maximum. Plenty. MN HQ should impose post limits and fines on those who post more often.

TrillianAstra · 01/08/2009 10:18

Depends what you mean by "too much"

Stayingsunnygirl · 01/08/2009 11:19

I don't spend too much time on here. I can give it up anytime I want - really!!

southeastastra · 01/08/2009 12:48

i'm not here again

giraffesCantCatchSwineFlu · 01/08/2009 12:59

Someone told me that every time I type a word then £10 gets donated to www.savetheworms.com I don't know if its true or not but I figure I better keep typing just incase. Think of those poor defenceless worms - its my public duty to save them.

HecatesTwopenceworth · 01/08/2009 13:52

Nope. some do. I am one of them. You are right. But since it doesn't affect you in any way, feel free to not give a shit about us

Oliveoil · 01/08/2009 13:55

you get a hell of a lot done if you get off the computer

it is fab, I now have a Life and do not feel the urge to post every non event on here

so yes, some people do spend a lot of time on here but it can be addictive

just say no [twitch]

FAQtothefuture · 01/08/2009 14:04

actually if I get off the computer I'll get very little done of some important stuff my OU course and bill paying being the most obvious

Pikelit · 01/08/2009 14:12

If I didn't waste time on the internet I might have to get some work done. And nobody like to see that, do they?

Oliveoil · 01/08/2009 14:16

I am on here as dh is off out boozing and I am wasting time on here until 9.30 then I am am going to read the paper and watch a dvd

in the day I do not bother turning the computer on

I do stuff in the house, walk, play with dd2, read etc etc etc

is if far more fulfulling

if and when I get a job again I may spend more time on the internet but for now it feels great not to bother tbh
