Not sure if this is off topic but do you think it is OK to go out on saturday evening for a couple of hours and leave 14 week old DD with my mum and dad?? We haven't left her yet and don't want to be a bad mummy..
Thanks in advancex

Absolutely!

Have fun

The first time I left DS with anyone other than DH I worried all evening even though we were only 10 minutes away (and it was his Nanna, my MIL looking after him). After a few times I got used to it though (so make sure you book another night soon).

No she'll be absolutely fine. Your parents will welcome the opportunity to rock / sing her back to sleep if she wakes up (and then tell you with amazement about how good their technique is!)

Go for it!!! I've regularly left (and still leave) my very very very dd with parents / in-laws / babysitters and the time away makes me miss her and appreciate how much I love her.

14wks baby with your parents who love her and who you trust for a couple of hours?
No problem at all

I was when DB and SIL left 6wk old with my parents overnight!

And there I was hoping the thread was about actually leaving the baby on its own while you went out to inject yourself with live anthrax whilst touting for business in Soho and I was getting ready to express my righteous indignation. And all it was was a query about whether it was ok to leave baby with your parents. Shame. But do out and have a good time.

Go out. She'll be fine. You turned out OK and they looked after you when you were younger than that.

Have a lovely time!

Go and enjoy yourself. In a couple of years time you will grab any babysitting offer. Besides, you may not get another chance to go out for about 2 years...!
