put them in a tupperware thing obv, so the wrapper isn't seen!

The amount of tea and biscuits they get through is amazing, am I being thrifty or tight as a gnats chuff?

I tried to give my Polish builders Kitkats and they looked at me like I was serving them dog turd - very strange.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 27/07/2009 15:17

lol, I wasn't infering you were!

pmsl at the kitkats.

MoontheMightyThreadKiller · 27/07/2009 15:17

they don't seem to like penguins either (and yes I do eat them).

MadEyeballsMoody · 27/07/2009 15:19

I mean haven't tried the former, obviously! . We live on bourbons!

MoontheMightyThreadKiller · 27/07/2009 15:22

Bourbons yuck! Custard cream over one of them any day

yanbu
I have never heard of builders being given biscuits(dh is in the building trade)

FranSanDisco · 27/07/2009 15:29

If we have builders in this house Dh usually rings them to see if I have given them a cup of tea!

mumeeee · 27/07/2009 15:40

I never give builders biscuits when they are here but will make them a cup of tea.

muggglewump · 27/07/2009 15:46

I've never had builders here but on the odd time I've had other workmen in I've gone out and bought bacon and rolls to make them.
Maybe I'm a suck up?

thoroughlymodernmummy · 27/07/2009 15:50

Don't worry. I feed my step kids value biscuits at the weekends.

Mumcentreplus · 27/07/2009 15:56

Buy any biscuits that are on special offer...

icedgemsrock · 27/07/2009 16:04

I always offer workmen biscuits with their tea. I offer them toast and jam in a morning aswell.
Why not?

stickylittlefingers · 27/07/2009 16:14

We always have the value rich tea from whatever supermarket we're using. I am sure in a taste test I could not tell the difference.

I might get myself some plain choc covered gingers as a special treat, but I wouldn't have them as an everyday item, so wouldn't give them to builders either. Tho when they finished my kitched I did get a super nice tin of biscuits for a last day celebration, which went down well.

YANBU

PeedOffWithNits · 27/07/2009 16:16

I bought my kitchen fitters donuts and giant choc chip cookies (and gave them tea in the chipped old mugs!)

they were doing a great job, going the extra mile, so why not

rookiemater · 27/07/2009 16:20

When we were having the outside of the house painted I made endless cups of tea, handed out plates of biscuita and gave them toasted cheese sarnies at lunchtime.

I wouldn't think the builders would mind what brand of biscuit they get as long as they are given some.

TrillianuptheAstra · 27/07/2009 16:28

Are they nice?

If they are minging then YABU.
