There are many varieties of home edders who HE for many different reasons. SOme of them are self-obsessed hippy twats, some of them religious loons and all of them (just like all of everyone else) are fair game for laughing at.

I'm not offended by the pisstake -it's SGB's attitude. She's like the class bully who tries to get the other girls onside to laugh at those that are 'different' to her.
Yeah, we can all have a laugh about each other but when there is thinly-veiled sarcasm and nastiness, it's uncalled for.

Viz was hilarious in its moment. I was brought up by the Modern Parents and it used to make me wet myself. They didn't Home Ed (though we came this close to going to a Free School)...

How wrong you are -your ignorance is staggering. HE is often the only choice for parents and you obviously have no idea of the reasons for that.So don't make assumptions.

Besides which, religion isn't a choice for everyone and neither is he. For the sake of some children it's necessary. The two he-ers I know started because of people like sgb who bullied their kids until they couldn't face school anymore.
