My dh still does it.

I still do it. But only in the privacy of my own home.

I would tell her off - I think it is a pretty disgusting thing to do.

Depends how old she is and whether she knows that it's not generally a habit that she should employ.

I know a grown man who does it and it makes me cringe.

I used to do it - only when we had chips and I wanted to lick the salt and vinegar.

I don't do it now and I don't remember my mother really telling me not to.

I hate it, and think it is really rude. If I catch them doing it, they get a telling off. I would think the same about licking the plate.
