i quite like her-a friend of ours works for ok mag and is the person who does their 'stuff' and says she's great.

ErikaMaye · 09/07/2009 23:20

I find her absolutely infuriating. Its partially the whole "I know, lets make my boobs even bigger so that everyone can see how tiny my wasit is in comparison!" thing, which is absolutely terrible for young woman and girls to see... But I think its mainly the fact that she is actually incredably intellegant (DON'T THROW THINGS AT ME PLEASE!!! ) but refuses to show it!! It bothers me... growls It only enforces the imagine that women have been trying to shake off for generations - sexualised objects who cannot think for themselves...

GIvePeasAChance · 09/07/2009 23:30

I have to pick up on that.......in the strictest sense of the word..........she is NOT intelligent. I would guess she has an average to below average IQ. I kind of hate this assumption that because someone has made money, they are intelligent.......

oliviasmama · 09/07/2009 23:37

Team Andre here too BUT I really do have tremendous respect for the way she is with Harvey. That is the only bit of her I like...oh and her long brown slim legs too of course.

Pete's just lovely in every way really.

It's a shame because I think he's the best thing that couldv'e happened to her, pity she didn't realise it too. Silly moo!

imbored · 09/07/2009 23:38

yeh but not to her poor suffering husband shes only out for herslef as i have said she would sell her soul to the devil at the right price. no she is not a good role model at all, infact i feel for her she is stuck up her own arse and the poor woman thinks she is better than everybody else must of hurt her ego when peter didnt want her anymore but she still hasnt changed.

He just oozes love for his children doesn't he. Nice bloke i think.

UnquietDad · 09/07/2009 23:42

Surely it's "Katie Price, for example, is a twat"...

imbored · 09/07/2009 23:43

pete is lovely, you think she would of kept hold of that one but noooooooooooooo she slagged him and put him down, how much is the poor bloke to take

She is a good (LOL) rider - they used to live up the road from my IL's and I saw her out riding one day. I hung back as is my wont with any horse riding road users but some twunt overtook me and the horse in his wnaky BMW 4x4 and the horse took fright, she controlled it really well.

Couldn't give a toss about her so-called private life but I must admit I was impressed by that. Although I suppose any moderately experienced horse rider would have done the same.

I was also entertained by her on Jonathan Ross (or something) when he was talking about something in her autobiography and she said, "I dunno - I haven't read it!"

slowreadingprogress · 09/07/2009 23:44

i am almost embarrassed to say I watched their series this time, it's not my usual cup of tea...and ok this is amateur psychology but I genuinely wonder if she has some kind of personality disorder. She is narcissistic in the extreme, disinhibited and she seems often to be emotionally closed off - there was a bit where they were seeing the sights in america and she was looking at the most amazing view and she literally said "I don't know how I'm supposed to feel, what it's supposed to do to me".

I think there are real issues there. I guess there are with a lot of people who chase fame and celebrity; if we met them in rl they would probably seem odd, to say the least.

She also doesn't seem to have realised when she's gone too far with her put downs of her husband, she couldn't see the boundary line of what was 'normal', what he was going to put up with.

but yes, armchair psychologist, what do any of us know really.

UnquietDad · 09/07/2009 23:44

'It's partially the whole "I know, lets make my boobs even bigger so that everyone can see how tiny my wasit is in comparison!" thing'

I am now terrified at the thought of her wasit. I don't think I really want to see her wasit in public. Although some of her skirts have been so short you can pretty much get a gynaecologically-precise view of her wasit.

imbored · 09/07/2009 23:45

yes and.... your input my dear is????

UnquietDad · 09/07/2009 23:47

Sorry imbored, I was taking the piss out of a typo to make rude comments about Price's wasit.

BettyTurnip · 09/07/2009 23:48

I thought it was funny!

Alestorm · 09/07/2009 23:49

imbored · 09/07/2009 23:51

BettyTurnip · 09/07/2009 23:54

Ahem... I'm a woman and I found it amusing.

ErikaMaye · 09/07/2009 23:55

Sorry, have a total flare day today! Can't spell for toffee!!!

Alestorm · 09/07/2009 23:55

Yes, also guilty of possession of a vagina and a sense of humour here.

imbored · 09/07/2009 23:56

UnquietDad · 09/07/2009 23:59

I don't know either of them, but when Andre had meningitis (I think - something like that), he was in the same hospital as my gran.

Apparently he was lovely - really polite, friendly, chatty with the nurses, just a normal, nice person.

But when she came in (my mum said, like a "pink and orange whirlwind") she was just as you would expect - very unfriendly, un chatty, just not very nice at all.

Fairynufff · 11/07/2009 21:03

Andre was very perceptive when he said to her "you've got to learn to love yourself Kate"
KP:"I do love myself"
PA:"you love the outside but not the inside" and that sums her up exactly to me.

Watching the ITV series her behaviour is very similar to my own when I was younger - she's desparately insecure, low self esteem and totally 'fuck everything' when she's hurt or attacked. Any mention of ex-girlfriends or pretty waitresses from Andre and she almost closes down with the pain and then a few seconds later she flashes with the most vicious comments. I was just like that....

When, or if, she learns to love herself she will quit all the stupid surgery, bling and excessive behaviour. She'll sit crying because she'll realise what she threw away.
